It is truly inspiring to witness the strong commitment and receptiveness of the Local Government Unit of Kapalong in embracing the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s SPARK Program.
From the very beginning, the officials of LGU Kapalong demonstrated genuine support for initiatives that empower their constituents through digital skills and meaningful opportunities in the digital economy. Their openness to innovation and their dedication to inclusive development have made the SPARK Technical Training in General Virtual Assistance 2.0 a resounding success.
Seeing our scholars- persons with disability, single mom, unemployed gain valuable skills, build confidence, and collectively generate ₱438,437.36 income in just 15 days (as part of their training) is a testament to what can be achieved when national government agencies and local government units work hand in hand.
My heartfelt gratitude goes to Mayor Hon. Edgardo L. Timbol, Municipal Information Officer Mr. Arnel L. Panimbo, Dr. Mary Grace L. Abuda the Department Head of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and KCAST president Dr. Rodrigo Licayan Jr, for championing digital inclusion and believing in the transformative power of technology.
Together, we are proving that no community is too remote and no dream is too ambitious when we invest in digital skills.
