Iisang himig tungo sa Malikhaing Tagum - creating harmony,
connecting cultures, and inspiring the world through music.

The Musikahan sa Tagum Festival Management, through Tagum City Tourism, Arts, and Culture Council, Inc. (TCTACCI), was invited by the City Government of Zamboanga, through the Fashion Designers Association of Zamboanga, to provide a musical ensemble for the Mascota de Zamboanga: Traje de Mestiza Fashion Runway Competition 2026, one of the highlights of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2026.

Representing Tagum City is the Sinag Cuerdas de Tagum Rondalla, a community-based youth ensemble composed of rondalla alumni from Tagum City National Comprehensive High School - LaFuerza Rondalla and the Grand Champion of the 2026 Musikahan National Rondalla Competition.

This invitation is a testament to Tagum Cityโ€™s continuing commitment to musical excellence, rooted in the vision and sustained support of Mayor Rey T. Uy, whose music development initiatives have nurtured generations of young musicians and opened opportunities for local talents to perform on national and international stages.

Tagum Cityโ€™s rich rondalla tradition has earned recognition beyond the country, with notable international engagements including the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China, and the 2011 international Rondalla Festival in Tagum City. These milestones continue to strengthen the cityโ€™s reputation as a thriving center for music and cultural exchange.

More than a performance, this participation forms part of the Musikahan sa Tagum Festivalโ€™s continuing cultural outreach efforts, bringing the artistry, talent, and musical heritage of Tagumenyos to different communities and celebrations across the Philippines. Through these engagements, Tagum City continues to build meaningful cultural connections, celebrate Filipino creativity, and share the unifying power of music.

Claiming Hour: 8 am to 12 pm & 1 pm to 5 pm (Weekdays)

To all participants of the sunset run who have not yet claimed their race kits, please visit the Tourism Office, Ground Floor, City of Tagum Cultural Center, to claim your race kit before the deadline!

Please make sure to claim your race kit within the given period. Please be informed that all unclaimed race kits after the given deadline will be included in our inventory as part of the post-event accounting and documentation process.
