𝑰𝑵 𝑷𝑯𝑶𝑻𝑶𝑺 | 3𝒓𝒅 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏

On 22 August 2026, the University of Southeastern Philippines Tagum-Mabini Campus - ROTC Unit conducted its 3rd Formation of the 1st Semester. The activity began at 0600H with the proper formation of cadets, followed by their assembly with their designated platoons and field formation.

At 0850H, the cadets returned to the gymnasium for the orientation and discussions. The first topic, Standards of Conduct, was discussed by Pfc Manilyn C Mirasol PA (Res) from 0855H to 0940H. This was followed by the Code of Citizenship, discussed by Sgt Joseph Yuson from 0945H to 1150H.

The afternoon session resumed at 1340H with a discussion on Military Courtesy and Discipline, led by SSg Jaypee De Barras (Inf) PA, which concluded at 1545H. The session provided the cadets with important knowledge on proper conduct, citizenship, discipline, and military courtesy.

At 1610H, the cadets were officially dismissed, marking the successful completion of the 3rd Formation.

On the 15th of August 2026, the University of Southeastern Philippines Tagum-Mabini Campus ROTC Unit conducted its 2nd Formation for the First Semester. The activity was held with the help of the aspirant officers under the supervision of the training staff.

The formation included the checking of proper bearing of the cadets, as well as the first field training.

Around 1000H, a lecture titled "PROTECTING OUR YOUTH FROM RECRUITMENT INTO ARMED CONFLICT" was conducted, headed by NSTP Coordinator Mr. ERVIN ROY V MATUCADING, with resource speaker Ms. RURELYN BAY-AO, a member of the Indigenous People (IP) community.

At 1200H, the formation successfully ended. The cadets gained valuable lessons on discipline, proper conduct, and awareness, values they carry forward as they continue their journey as ROTC cadets.

On August 8, 2026, the University of Southeastern Philippines Tagum-Mabini Campus (USeP TMC) ROTC Unit successfully conducted the National Service Training Program (NSTP) and the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Orientation for A.Y 2026–2027 at the Physical Education and Cultural Center, USeP TMC, Tagum Unit.

At 0800H, the program opened with the Presentation of Colors, graced by USeP TMC Chancellor Dr. Shirley S Villanueva, NSTP TMC Coordinator Mr. Ervin Roy V Matucading, COL JULITO P GARAY MI (GSC) PA (Director of 1102nd CDC, 11RCDG), 1Lt BENJIE A PILO PA (Res) (Assistant Commandant), CWTS & LTS Instructor Mr. Jet T. Cariaga, and the training staff.

By 0930H, Chancellor Villanueva stressed in her opening remarks the need for capable, service-oriented leaders— the very individuals NSTP aims to shape. COL JULITO P GARAY MI (GSC) PA also reinforced this in his West Philippine Sea briefing, urging cadets to settle disputes "not by force, but by law."

On 1030H, 1Lt BENJIE A PILO PA (Res) and Mr. Cariaga had presented the ROTC, CWTS, and LTS objectives respectively, after which the coordinator and training staff held a Q&A. The session concluded at 1200H with cadet recruitment and closing remarks
from Mr. Matucading urging inclusive involvement.

The first formation began at 1300H with platoon organization, as staff instilled respect, discipline, and resilience among the cadets. Activities concluded at 1600H, strengthening their sense of responsibility, duty, and leadership.

The USeP TMC ROTC Unit successfully concluded its participation in LUPAD 2026: The First Stop of Every Journey through its ROTC Booth, where first-year students has given the chance to explore the opportunities, purpose and commitment when becoming a cadets.

Throughout the event, the advanced cadets engaged with the freshmen, sharing the principles of leadership, discipline, honor,
and service that define the Reserve Officer's training Corps. More than exhibit, the booth served as gateway for aspiring cadet
officers to discover a path of responsibility and patriotism.

To everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and showed interest in our organization, thank you for making this
engagement meaningful. We look forward seeing you in the next generation to answer the call and carry the tradition of excellence forward.
