LFNHS WAY: BAG INSPECTION FOR A SAFER, SECURE SCHOOL COMMUNITY

LA FILIPINA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL — Safety is not merely a policy—it is a commitment that begins with genuine care for every learner.

Since June, the school has consistently implemented bag inspections as part of its continuing efforts to maintain a safe, secure, and learner-friendly environment for more than 4,700 learners.

At the heart of this initiative is the earnest desire of School Principal Dr. Prescilla Gullez to strengthen the school’s safety and security measures and ensure that every learner enters the school premises in an environment where they feel protected, cared for, and secure.

Working closely with her is Mr. Zar Apero, Safety and Security Officer, whose dedication and vigilance help ensure that safety protocols are consistently carried out and that the school remains proactive in addressing possible risks and concerns.

Despite the enormous task of securing thousands of learners each day, the Grade Level Heads, Security and Safety Team, SDRRM TEAM , Youth Formators, Selective Teachers, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts continue to work together at the forefront of this initiative.

The daily bag inspection goes beyond checking what students bring to school. It is an act of vigilance, prevention, and care. Every inspection reflects the school’s commitment to protecting its learners and creating a culture where everyone takes responsibility for safety.

This collective effort was also highlighted by 97.5 Brigada Tagum City through its feature, “TAN-AWA | Nagpatuman og hugot…”—recognizing LFNHS’ firm commitment to maintaining safety and security within the school community.

Behind every inspection are people who choose to serve. Behind every checkpoint are educators and school personnel who choose to protect.

Our deepest appreciation goes to everyone who continues to stand together for the safety of our learners. Your commitment proves that when a school community works as one, challenges become manageable and safety becomes a shared culture.

𝐀 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐒!

Here are some highlights from the 𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, where newly recruited scouts officially began their journey in the Scouting Movement.

From the basic orientation to the meaningful investiture rites, every activity reflected the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, service, and responsibility. With the full support of our teachers, the ceremony became a memorable welcome for our new scouts as they embraced the ideals and responsibilities of being a Scout.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our School Principal IV, Dr. Prescilla R. Gullez, for approving and supporting the conduct of this meaningful ceremony and for continuously encouraging activities that help develop responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented learners.

𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐘 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘!

𝗟𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 proudly welcomed its newly recruited scouts during the 𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆. Prior to the ceremony, the new scouts underwent a basic orientation to introduce them to the values, responsibilities, discipline, and principles of scouting.

The activity was also strengthened by the support of our dedicated teachers, who continue to encourage learners to develop leadership, teamwork, discipline, service, and good citizenship through the scouting movement.

To our newly invested scouts, welcome to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – La Filipina National High School! May this be the start of a meaningful journey of learning, leadership, and service.
