The Provincial Nutrition Committee of Davao del Norte participated in the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation – Protocol conducted by the National Nutrition Council Region XI (NNC-XI) last April 28–29, 2025 at the Technical Vocational Function Room, PADO-EWDD, Capitol Compound, Tagum City.

The two-day activity served as an important platform to assess and strengthen the implementation of nutrition programs, policies, and local governance initiatives geared towards addressing malnutrition and promoting improved health outcomes across the province.

The evaluation was facilitated by the NNC-XI evaluation team led by Ms. Alona Teo, Nutrition Officer III, together with Ms. Colleen Claudette Pontanoza (DTI XI), Ms. Lorelie Maningo (PhilHealth), Sir Joel Bercades Junsay (Team Humanity), Ms. Reniel Joy Royo (DILG XI), and Ms. Kathleen Gauran (NNC-XI), whose expertise, guidance, and recommendations significantly contributed to the productive conduct of the activity. Their insights continue to encourage local stakeholders and implementers to further enhance nutrition governance and sustain impactful programs for the people of Davao del Norte.

The success of the activity was made possible through the collective efforts, dedication, and cooperation of the Provincial Nutrition Committee members, partner agencies, local government units, nutrition action officers, and stakeholders who continuously support and champion the province’s nutrition initiatives.

As the province moves forward, may it further inspire all partners and stakeholders to remain committed in promoting healthier communities and ensuring a better quality of life for every Dabaonon through strengthened and sustainable nutrition programs.
