Strengthening Emotional Intelligence in Public Service ๐
On August 20, 2026, we had a meaningful and insightful learning activity on Emotional Intelligence in Public Service held at the Amphitheater, 2nd Floor, OPD Building, Davao Regional Medical Center.
We were privileged to have Ms. Sheryl O. Yap, Chief Human Resource Specialist of the Public Assistance and Liaison Division, Civil Service Commission XI, as our resource speaker. Her valuable insights emphasized how emotional intelligence plays an important role in effective leadership and public service.
The activity highlighted the importance of self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and active listening in building trust, strengthening workplace relationships, and providing compassionate and responsive service.
It was truly a valuable opportunity to learn, reflect, and be reminded that great public service begins with self-awareness and genuinely empathizing with others . ๐
