Pursuant to the Bangsamoro Holidays Act (BAA No. 39), the entire Bangsamoro region will observe the following holidays from May 26 to 28, 2026:

• May 26 (Tuesday): Day of Arafah (Special Non-Working Holiday)

• May 27 (Wednesday): Eid’l Adha (Regular Non-Working Holiday)

• May 28 (Thursday): 1st Day of Tashriq (Special Non-Working Holiday)

Please note that May 25 (Monday) remains a regular working day for all offices. Additionally, for offices on a Four-Day Compressed Workweek (Monday–Thursday), since Friday is already your regular rest day, your long weekend will effectively extend from Tuesday, May 26, all the way until Sunday, May 31, 2026.

The Manila Liaison Office of the Bangsamoro Parliament conducted a benchmarking activity with the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) on May 12, 2026, at the Malacañang Complex.

The activity aims to gain insights on legislative liaison mechanisms, executive-legislative coordination, stakeholder engagement, and the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC), as part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of MLO staff in supporting the functions and initiatives of the Bangsamoro Parliament.

Undersecretary Bernardino E. Sayo led the Delegation alongside Assistant Secretaries and Directors of the PLLO, The benchmarking activity is part of the continuing efforts of the Manila Liaison Office to further strengthen its institutional functions and built stronger working relationships with national government offices and partner institutions in Metro Manila.

Parliament Speaker Mohammad S Yacob Ph.D. received 400 boxes of dates from the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Manila Liaison Office of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament facilitated the distribution of 100 boxes to Muslim communities across Metro Manila, while the remaining boxes are allocated for the BARMM Region.

This initiative demonstrates the Bangsamoro Parliament’s commitment to serving its people both within and beyond the region, while further strengthening its partnership and cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Mohammad S. Yacob, Interim Speaker of the Bangsamoro Parliament, has been conferred a prestigious recognition by the Islamic University of Madinah during its 62nd graduation ceremony in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Mohammad S. Yacob, Interim Speaker of the Bangsamoro Parliament, has been conferred a prestigious recognition by the Islamic University of Madinah during its 62nd graduation ceremony in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Yacob received the Pioneering Alumni Award (Social Impact Category) in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to public service, governance, and community development.

He was a graduate of Islamic Shariah at the Islamic University of Madinah, where he gained a strong foundation in Islamic jurisprudence and related disciplines.

COURTESY VISIT | On April 29, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in the Philippines (Singapore Embassy in Manila ), represented by Deputy Chief of Mission and Counsellor Logaventhan Karuppannan, paid a courtesy visit to the Bangsamoro Parliament Manila Liaison Office.

The meeting served as an initial engagement to explore potential areas of collaboration, highlighting opportunities for the youth to pursue studies in Singapore. The delegation also expressed appreciation for the presence of the Liaison Office in Metro Manila.
