SPD Intensifies Safer Communities Through Oplan Bulabog
The Southern Police District (SPD) sustained its District-Wide Oplan Bulabog/Galugad operations as part of its integrated anti-criminality campaign focusing on the strict enforcement of local ordinances and the maintenance of public order to ensure safer communities across Southern Metro Manila.
A total of 1,117 violators were recorded during the operation. Compared to previous operations, the decrease in the number of violators indicates the growing effectiveness of sustained enforcement and increased public awareness of local ordinances. Common violations included drinking and smoking in public places, curfew violations among minors, illegal use of karaoke beyond allowed hours, littering, and traffic-related offenses.
Of the total number of violators, 782 were warned and released, while 335 were fined. No individuals were formally charged, as the operation emphasized corrective measures and community awareness.
Makati recorded the highest number of violators, followed by Taguig and Muntinlupa, reflecting intensified enforcement efforts in key areas.
PCOL GLENN OLIVER C CINCO, Acting District Director of SPD, stressed that the District will continue to intensify its operations to achieve a better Southern Metro Manila and make it a safer place to live. He emphasized that the observed decrease in violators shows that consistent police presence and strict implementation of ordinances are effective in promoting discipline and preventing crime. He further assured that SPD will sustain and strengthen these efforts to ensure the safety and security of all communities.
