Dal 5 al 7 ottobre, si è svolta con successo la missione imprenditoriale di Italian Trade Agency Singapore , organizzata in collaborazione con l’Ambasciata d’Italia.
La missione ha visto la partecipazione di imprese italiane, affiancate da SACE, SIMEST e Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, con l’obiettivo di esplorare nuove opportunità commerciali e rafforzare le partnership con le aziende filippine nei settori delle infrastrutture, dei trasporti, dell’energia e della gestione delle risorse idriche. Nel corso delle tre giornate, la delegazione ha incontrato Alti Rappresentanti delle istituzioni filippine, visitato la Banca Asiatica di Sviluppo e preso parte a incontri B2B con imprese locali.

On the 5th to the 7th of October, Italian Trade Agency Singapore successfully held a business mission organised in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy.
The mission brought together Italian companies, supported by SACE, SIMEST and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, to explore potential business opportunities and strengthen partnerships with Philippine companies with in the fields of infrastructure, transport, energy and water resource management. Over the three days, the delegation met with senior representatives of Philippine institutions, visited the Asian Development Bank and took part in B2B meetings with local organizations.

Il 21 settembre ha preso il via la 14ª edizione dell’ADB Business Opportunities Fair ( ), appuntamento dedicato alla presentazione delle opportunità per le imprese nell’ambito dei progetti finanziati dalla Banca Asiatica di Sviluppo ( ).
In occasione dell’evento, l’Ambasciatore Giglio ha incontrato la Vice Presidente dell’ADB, Roberta Casali, l’Alternate Executive Director, Ludivine Halbrecq, del Constituency Office italiano presso l’ADB, una delegazione delle Camere di Commercio di Torino e Milano, di Ceipiemonte e Promos Italia, nonché i funzionari italiani in servizio presso la Banca.
Con quasi 30 imprese partecipanti, la presenza italiana ha raggiunto quest’anno un livello record, a testimonianza del crescente interesse del sistema imprenditoriale italiano per le opportunità offerte dai progetti dell’ADB in Asia e nel Pacifico.

On 21 September, the 14th edition of the ADB Business Opportunities Fair ( ) kicked off, providing a platform to showcase business opportunities arising from projects financed by the Asian Development Bank ( ).
On the occasion, Ambassador Davide Giglio met with ADB Vice-President Roberta Casali; Ludivine Halbrecq, Alternate Executive Director at the Italian Constituency Office at the ADB; a delegation from the Chambers of Commerce of Turin and Milan, Ceipiemonte and Promos Italia; as well as Italian staff members working at the Bank.
With nearly 30 participating companies, the Italian presence reached a record level this year, reflecting the growing interest of the Italian business community in the opportunities offered by ADB-financed projects across Asia and the Pacific.

Il 19 settembre, l’Ambasciatore Davide Giglio ha inaugurato il simposio “Monti–Arellano: Dialogues on Art and Architecture”, tenutosi presso il (MET) e organizzato dall’Ambasciata d’Italia in collaborazione con la Philippine Italian Association e il of Architecture dell’Università di Santo Tomas, la più antica università asiatica.
L’iniziativa culturale si inquadra nello sforzo promozionale avviato dall’Ambasciata in vista dell’80º anniversario delle relazioni diplomatiche tra Italia e Filippine che ricorrerà nel 2027.
Il simposio si è soffermato sulla proficua ed intensa partnership artistica stabilita tra lo scultore italiano Francesco Riccardo Monti (1888-1958) e l’architetto filippino Juan M. Arellano.
Monti, originario di Cremona, operò per quasi 30 anni nelle Filippine decorando con le sue sculture numerosi edifici storici tra cui appunto il Metropolitan Theater.
Al simposio faranno seguito nel corso del 2027 un concorso di studenti di architettura dell’Università di Santo Tomas e una mostra espositiva.

On 19 September, Ambassador Davide Giglio inaugurated the symposium “Monti–Arellano: Dialogues on Art and Architecture”, held at the (MET) and organized by the Embassy of Italy in collaboration with the and the of the University of Santo Tomas, the oldest university in Asia.
The cultural initiative is part of the Embassy’s promotional efforts in the lead-up to the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and the Philippines, which will be celebrated in 2027.
The symposium focused on the fruitful and close artistic partnership between Italian sculptor Francesco Riccardo Monti (1888–1958) and Filipino architect Juan M. Arellano.
Originally from Cremona, Monti worked in the Philippines for nearly 30 years, contributing his sculptures to numerous historic buildings, including the Metropolitan Theater itself.
The symposium will be followed in 2027 by an architecture competition for students of the University of Santo Tomas and an exhibition.

L’Ambasciatore Davide Giglio ha partecipato a alla cerimonia di apertura del 55th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders’ Meeting and Related Meetings ( ).
Dialogue Partner del Pacific Islands Forum dal 2007, l’Italia riafferma il proprio impegno pluridecennale al fianco degli Stati insulari del Pacifico e a sostegno delle priorità della regione, anche attraverso un contributo di 500.000 USD alla , strumento finanziario volto a rafforzarne la resilienza di fronte agli effetti dei cambiamenti climatici.

Ambassador Davide Giglio attended the opening ceremony of the 55th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders’ Meeting and Related Meetings ( ) in Palau.
A Dialogue Partner of the since 2007, Italy reaffirms its longstanding commitment alongside the Pacific Island States and its support for the region’s priorities, including through a USD 500,000 contribution to the Pacific Resilience Facility, a financing mechanism aimed at strengthening the region’s resilience to the impacts of climate change.

Oggi, 10 agosto, è stato firmato alla Farnesina il Protocollo di modifica dell’Accordo tra Italia e Filippine per la conversione delle patenti di guida. La firma rappresenta un importante passo avanti nel facilitare la mobilità e la vita quotidiana dei cittadini italiani e filippini nei rispettivi Paesi e conferma la solidità delle relazioni bilaterali e i profondi legami di amicizia che uniscono i due Paesi.

Today, August 10, the protocol amending the agreement between Italy and the Philippines on the conversion of driving licences was signed at the Farnesina.
The signing represents an important step forward in facilitating the mobility and everyday lives of Italian and Filipino citizens in each other’s countries, while reaffirming the strength of bilateral relations and the deep bonds of friendship between the two countries.

As part of the celebrations marking the 80th Anniversary of the Italian Republic, the Embassy is pleased to present the , an initiative aimed at promoting Italian cinema and strengthening cultural ties between 🇮🇹 and the 🇵🇭, organized in collaboration with the (PIA), Elephant Pictures, and (FDCP).

The chosen movies showcase contemporary voices of Italian cinematographic production, acclaimed by both audiences and critics, which offer a priviled point of observation of modern Italy through different genres and cinematic languages.
