The Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) garnered the 2nd Runner-Up title among 16 elite contingents at the prestigious National SWAT Challenge 2025, held from January 15 to 17. The competition took place at the SAF Training Branch in Fort Sto. Domingo, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, and the PNPA Firing Range in Camp General Mariano Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.
Under the leadership of PCOL CELSO M RODRIGUEZ, Force Commander of the NCRPO-MFB, the team proudly represented the NCRPO with distinction. With the guidance of PMAJ RODERICK A PACILAN, Chief Coach, and led by PCPT JOHN SMITH M BINWAG, 8th MFC (1st RDC-LRU) Commander, the NCRPO SWAT Team demonstrated their exceptional skills and professionalism in this highly anticipated annual event.
The National SWAT Challenge brought together the nation’s most elite tactical units, testing their physical strength, mental resilience, and tactical expertise through a series of demanding and complex stages.
The NCRPO Team stood out for their unwavering skill and determination, achieving notable recognition in several categories:
• 1st Runner-Up in Stages 2, 3, 4 and Best in Uniform
• 2nd Runner-Up in Stage 1 and Best Team Category
These accomplishments highlighted their commitment to excellence and their ability to maintain composure under intense pressure. Their consistent performance across all stages culminated in their 2nd Runner-Up overall award, cementing their reputation as one of the country’s top-performing contingents.
This challenge transcended mere competition, fostering a profound sense of camaraderie and unity among its participants. It offered an exceptional platform for teams to exchange insights, hone their tactical approaches, and forge deeper bonds, showcasing the collaborative essence that underpins the law enforcement community's mission and values.
The NCRPO SWAT Team’s success is a testament to their hard work, discipline, and dedication to upholding public safety and security, setting a high standard for future competitions.
