FORT BONFACIO, Taguig City - In celebration of National Women's Month and in line with this year's theme, "We for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”, the Finance
Center Philippine Army (FCPA) conducted a celebratory Fun Shoot on 10 March 2026. The event was designed to promote women's empowerment, foster camaraderie, and advocate for responsible firearm proficiency among its Officers and Enlisted Personnel.
The activity commenced with an opening prayer led by SMS Recel Catedrilla (FS) PA, the Center's Sergeant Major. This was followed by a warm welcome from COL ARIEL B KALAHI MNSA (FS) PA, Deputy Director of the FCPA. In his remarks, COL KALAHI emphasized the vital role of women in the organization, highlighting their strength, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the Finance Service's mission.
To reinforce the values of integrity and military discipline, COL LAMCEL B CARANGUIAN GSC (FS) PA, the FCPA Executive Officer, administered the Sportsmanship Oath. The participants pledged to uphold fairness, mutual respect, and unity throughout the competition.
Prior to the main event, a comprehensive safety and technical briefing was conducted to ensure strict adherence to range rules and the highest standards of firearm handling. The competition was officially inaugurated with a ceremonial shoot led by the FCPA Director, COL ALDRIN F OREJUDOS (GSC) FS PA, alongside COL KALAHI, COL CARANGUIAN, and three representatives from the Chiefs of the Finance Service Field Offices (FSFOs).
The range then came alive as participants showcased their focus, discipline, and marksmanship. Beyond the competitive aspect, the event served as a platform for personnel to hone the technical skills essential for every soldier.
Following the competition, the participants gathered for a traditional "Boodle Fight" lunch.
This communal meal served to further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood between FCPA personnel and their stakeholders.
The celebration concluded with an awarding ceremony presided over by the FCPA leadership. The following female officers were recognized for their outstanding performance:

The fun shoot was more than a recreational activity; it was a testament to the FCPA's commitment to gender equality and personnel development. By promoting confidence, teamwork, and unity, the Center continues to build a more inclusive and mission-ready force.
