Taguig recognized 929 utility and housekeeping personnel assigned to public schools and city offices after they completed the EduKalinisan Training Program 2026, which strengthened their skills in maintaining clean, safe, and orderly learning environments.
The completers, composed of personnel from the General Services Office (GSO), Taguig Satellite Office (TSO), and Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center (TMTC), underwent a housekeeping skills development program designed to strengthen their knowledge and competencies in maintaining clean, orderly, and safe learning environments across the city.
The graduates, divided into 31 batches, completed the training conducted from May 11 to July 6, 2026, at the Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center. Participants received certificates of completion in recognition of their commitment to enhancing their skills in professional housekeeping and school maintenance.
Carrying the theme βMalinis na Paaralan, Maayos na Kaisipan,β the program was spearheaded by the General Services Office (GSO), with the support of the City Scholarship Office and the DepEd Taguig-Pateros Schools Division Office. The completion and awarding ceremony was held on September 5, 2026, at the City of Taguig University Auditorium.
Mayor Lani Cayetano attended the event and emphasized that competent personnel and proper cleanliness are essential to ensuring healthy, safe, and well-maintained public schools.
βAng layunin po ng ating programa ay masiguro na ang bawat paaralan dito sa Lungsod ng Taguig ay pamamahalaan ng ating mahuhusay na kawani. Ang aspeto po ng kalusugan ay mahalagang usapin kasi ito ay repleksyon ng ating katauhan. Di ho ba, kapag tayo ay nakikipagkapwa-tao at pumapasok sa isang bahay, ilan sa mga palagi nating tinitingnan ay ang kalinisan at kaayusan nito? At sa pagmamasid natin sa kalinisan at kaayusan ng isang bahay, nagkakaroon tayo ng ideya kung anong klaseng personalidad mayroon ang mga nakatira roon.β
She also emphasized that housekeeping personnel play a vital role in maintaining clean schools and creating welcoming environments that reflect the cityβs care for its students and school communities.
βKayo po ay kasama namin bilang mga kawani ng ating pamahalaan. Ang task na napunta sa inyo ay ang pagsisigurong malinis ang ating mga paaralan. Ganoon din po ang gusto ko sanang makita. Sana, sa pamamagitan ng maayos ninyong pagtatrabaho, bawat estudyanteng pupunta o papasok sa eskwelahan at bawat bisitang tatanggapin natin sa ating mga paaralan ay maramdaman ang mabuti at maayos nating katauhan.β
In his message, DepEd Taguig-Pateros Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Arturo A. Tolentino emphasized the importance of collective efforts in education and urged personnel to apply what they learned from the training in maintaining clean and safe schools.
ββIt takes a village to raise a child.β Napakaganda ng adhikain ng ating lokal na pamahalaan na mag-invest sa edukasyon. Kaakibat ng pag-invest sa edukasyon ang tulong na kailangan ng bawat paaralan β higit sa lahat, sa larangan ng kalinisan. Iyon po ay magmumula sa ating mga tagapagpanatili ng kalinisan sa paaralan. Sa mga aral na inyong natutunan, bago man o dati nang alam bago ang training, kami po ay umaasa na magagamit at gagamitin ninyo ang mga ito pagbalik sa mga paaralan kung saan kayo nakatalaga.β
The mandatory training for all city utility personnel equipped school-based workers with essential housekeeping skills in cleaning, sanitation, workplace organization, and the safe and efficient use of cleaning materials and equipment. These competencies strengthen their capacity to maintain clean, safe, orderly, and conducive learning environments in public schools across the city.
