Barangay Jardin derived its name.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND


BARANGAY JARDIN is formerly a part of the Poblacion area of Tagudin.It is
situated at the western part of the Poblcion. One is from the Tagalog word " HARDIN " which means garden in English translation. Old folks of this Barangay are said to be fond of gardening...like cultivating flowering plants,fruit bearing trees, and nearly all kinds of vegetation. From then

on, they called the place as Jardin. The second version is from the word "JARDINIERE" which according to updated research, it means pot for house plants; a large usually decorative flower pot. It was believed that old settlers of this locality are fond of putting flowering plants in big pots and being displayed in front of their houses...the word "Jardiniere" was shortened and the place is now called as BARANGAY JARDIN
