📢 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

In line with the celebration of the 108th Adlaw nan Tago, the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist invites all pet owners to avail themselves of the FREE ANTI-RABIES VACCINATION AND SCABIES (KAGID) TREATMENT.

Let us celebrate our town's charter day by ensuring a safer, healthier community for both humans and animals. Please bring your pets on a leash or in secure carriers.

JUST IN: The Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAG) Technical Working Group officially kicked off Day 1 of the Formulation and Crafting of the Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Development Plan (MAFDP) Phase III today, May 21, 2026, at the Lizvil Beach Resort in Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.

Leading the technical strategic sessions and guiding our team are our expert consultants, Mr. Esmeraldo A. Odtohan and Mr. Nigel C. Zanoria (MPDO Consultant). This key step ensures that our municipal agricultural programs remain data-driven, sustainable, and highly responsive to the needs of our local farmers and fisherfolk

The Office of the Municipal Agriculturist successfully conducted a three-day training on Abaca Production and Philippine National Standards (PNS) Fiber Classification on March 11–13, 2026, at Selades Farm, Cayale, Tago, Surigao del Sur.
Abaca remains one of the municipality’s priority commodities; thus, under the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), the local government is committed to maximizing Tago’s agricultural resources to uplift the lives of our abaca farmers and the community as a whole.
This training would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA), under the leadership of OIC-Director Samuel M. Nacino, Jr., together with his dedicated staff: Sir Fritz Ceballos, Ma’am Pizmi Urquiza Frias, and Engr. Rene Dela Peña Ibarra.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Hon. Reynaldo G. Selades for generously allowing the use of his farm as the venue for this training.

Fire Prevention Month 2026!

As part of our commitment the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist successfully conducted and facilitated the Tree Planting Activity "Adopt-e-Forest-Program" held on March 11, 2026, at Barangay Cabangahan, Tago, Surigao del Sur.

The activity was organized by the Tago Fire Station under the leadership of FSSUPT Jerome T. Reano, OIC-Regional Director, and the supervision of FCINSP Atty. Jill T. Yusikee Diaz, Provincial Fire Marshal of SDS.The initiative was spearheaded by SFO2 Dennis B. Frias.

The said activity was participated by PNP, MDRRMO and MENRO. Through this collaborative effort, the community takes a proactive step toward environmental preservation and fire safety. Together, we are planting the seeds for a greener, safer, and more resilient future for the Municipality of Tago.

LOOK: The Office of the Municipal Agriculturist of Tago successfully conducted the National Simultaneous Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive!

Through this initiative, our community took a proactive step toward public health and responsible pet ownership. From ensuring safe vaccine administration to educating pet owners, the team focused on creating a rabies-free environment for every household.
