GRATEFUL HEARTS, JOYFUL CELEBRATION

The CGSO family gathered today for a Holy Mass offered for our 3rd Quarter Birthday Celebrants—July, August, and September, as we also celebrated the birthday of Mama Mary. A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Alex Quioco of PACEM for celebrating the Holy Mass with us and helping make this occasion more meaningful.

After the Mass, everyone shared a simple salo-salo, making the celebration even more meaningful with good food, fellowship, and grateful hearts. Happy birthday to all our celebrants, and Happy Birthday Mama Mary!

CGSOLYMPICS 2026: LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

The CGSOlympics 2026 officially kicked off today, bringing four CGSO teams together for weeks of sports, creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition. The opening day set the tone with exciting competitions in Dance Sport, Rap Contest, and Team Poster-Making, showcasing not only the talents of our employees but also their creativity, confidence, and team spirit.

A big thank you to our judges—City Budget Officer Marysol Perocho, Engr. Inday Policianos, and Ms. Jhay Angelia—for sharing their time and expertise in making the opening activities extra special.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mayor Jane Yap, Congressman Baba Yap, Vice Mayor Adam Jala and City Administrator Alvin Acuzar for their continued support of the CGSOlympics and activities that promote the well-being, camaraderie, and fellowship of our employees.

The competition had officially begun, but beyond the scores and trophies, the CGSOlympics was about building friendships, celebrating talents, staying active, and enjoying the spirit of being one CGSO family.

FLAG RAISING: A PAUSE, A REMINDER 🇵🇭

Before the workday takes over, the City General Services Office led by CGSO Head Chris John Rener Torralba, Ph.D. took a moment to stand together for the Flag Raising Ceremony. Beyond the ceremony is a simple reminder: every task we do, whether seen or behind the scenes, contributes to the work of government and the service we give to our fellow Tagbilaranons. We raise the flag—and carry its meaning into the work we do.
