CALLING ALL AGRI-FISHERY RESEARCHERS!

The 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 (𝗡𝗥𝗦) is open for paper submissions! Organized by the DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR), this year's theme is "R4D Excellence: Driving Progress, Delivering Impact."

We’re inviting Filipino scientists and researchers from DA units and attached agencies, state universities and colleges, and other government institutions under the DA’s National Agriculture and Fisheries R&D System (NaRDSAF) that conducts R&D work in agriculture and fisheries.

Eligible papers must feature work completed between August 2023 and August 2026.

The NRS culminates in the AFMA Research Paper Award, which recognizes researchers whose work has delivered impactful technologies, information, processes, or systems to the agriculture and fisheries sector.

Bohol continues to advance sustainable farming practices and resilient livelihoods across the region.

This was after the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office VII, hosted the 9th Regional Organic Agriculture Congress on August 25, 2026, at Panda Tea Garden Suites, Tagbilaran City.

Carrying the theme, "Kabuhayang OA, Kinabukasang OK: Organikong Pagkain, sa Pamilya ay Ihain," the two-day congress brought together organic agriculture stakeholders from Cebu and Bohol to promote sustainable farming and strengthen the sector.

During the event, Gov. Aumentado emphasized the vision of ensuring that citizens rely on healthy, chemical-free food that improves their quality of life.

The opening program featured messages highlighting the role of organic farmers in safe food production and environmental protection, alongside the awarding of Participatory Organic Certificates to recognized stakeholders, followed by informative sessions to enhance agricultural knowledge and practices.

This initiative supports the Strategic Governance Roadmap of the PGBh toward sustainable and inclusive development while reinforcing the Sustainable Development Goals of the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark.
