Wellness is hope in action. Healing is another chance embraced.

Today marks another successful milestone in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration, as we concluded our Wellness Drive through KUMBATI Clinic—an initiative that brought quality healthcare closer to our probationers, parolees, and their families.

With the generous support of Congresswoman Kristine Alexie B. Tutor, through her health and wellness advocacy, KUMBATI Clinic, our clients received free medical consultations, vitamins, and maintenance medications. More than these essential services, Congresswoman Tutor shared an inspiring message that life’s greatest lessons are found in our struggles, and that every second chance is an opportunity to become better than who we were yesterday.

This meaningful undertaking was further strengthened through the invaluable assistance of Mayor Jimmy Busano and the Rural Health Unit of Guindulman, Bohol whose support made accessible healthcare services to those who needed them most.

This activity reminds us that rehabilitation is not accomplished by one institution alone. It flourishes through compassionate partnerships, shared responsibility, and communities that choose to believe in transformation. Together, we continue to build bridges toward successful reintegration- where every act of kindness becomes a step toward a healthier, more hopeful, and law-abiding future.

PROJECT TSINELAS: Bawat Hakbang, May Pag-asa 👣🤍 July 8, 2026

There are journeys that begin not with grand gestures, but with the quiet kindness of a single step.

Today, tiny feet were wrapped in new slippers, little hands received school supplies, and young hearts were reminded that they are seen, valued, and worthy of dreaming. Yet beyond the gifts they carried home was something far greater—the assurance that hope still walks among us.

As one of the highlight activities in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration, the Bohol Province Parole and Probation Office No. 1, together with selected probationers and parolees, reached out to the daycare learners of Poblacion Norte, Carmen, Bohol through Project Tsinelas: Bawat Hakbang, May Pag-asa.

For our probationers and parolees, this was more than an outreach- it was a chance to leave footprints not of the past, but of compassion. A reminder that while mistakes may shape a chapter of one’s life, they need not define the entire story. In serving others, they discovered that redemption is found not only in being forgiven, but in becoming a blessing to someone else.

For every child who walked home with new slippers, may each step carry them closer to their dreams. May every page they write upon tell stories of courage, learning, and endless possibilities. And may they always remember that there are people who believe in the beauty of their future.

For when hope is shared, it grows. When kindness is given, it echoes. And when hearts choose to serve, every step becomes a path toward healing—not only for those who receive, but also for those who give.

Because in every pair of slippers is a journey waiting to unfold.

Bringing Government Services Closer, Building Better Futures 🤝⚖️📊

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ–PPA), the Bohol Province Parole and Probation Office No. 1 successfully conducted a Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Mobile Registration for probationers and parolees, reaffirming its commitment to making essential government services more accessible to clients on their path to successful community reintegration.

More than facilitating civil registration, this initiative reflects the shared commitment of the DOJ–PPA and the Philippine Statistics Authority to uphold restorative justice, promote social inclusion, and strengthen public service delivery. By bringing vital government services closer to our clients, we help ensure that they have access to legal identity and essential documentation, enabling them to exercise their rights, fulfill their responsibilities, and pursue meaningful opportunities for personal growth, employment, education, and community participation.

As we commemorate five decades of dedicated service, the DOJ–PPA continues to uphold its mission of transforming lives through rehabilitation, accountability, and second chances. Every individual deserves the opportunity to rebuild, restore dignity, and become a productive, self-reliant, and law-abiding member of society.

Expanding opportunities beyond rehabilitation through partnership, education, and sustainable livelihoods.

The ATI-DOJ-PPA Techno Forum and Information Caravan in Bohol provided 110 probationers and parolees with access to agricultural knowledge, government support services, and livelihood opportunities. This event served as a platform for hope, empowerment, and community reintegration through agriculture.

This partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement between ATI-7 and DOJ-PPA Region VII, led by ROIC Florita L. Vitor. It demonstrates a shared commitment to inclusive, community-based programs that transform lives.

The initiative benefited from the insights and support of ATI-RTC VII OIC Center Director Vianney T. Ojerio, Carmen Mayor Conchita Delos Reyes, CPPO Cirilo R. Maramba Jr., DOJ-PPA Focal Person SrPPO Clare Marie Abucejo, SrPPO Mariane B. Suan, SPPO Danna Merisa V. Ebra, PPO II Mark Louie Gucor, and ADA IV Edgar T. Baron Jr. Additional expertise was provided by Mr. Joven C. Felisilda of PCA, Municipal Agriculturist Arlene Cabusao, LSA Operator Nilo Cempron, Mr. Nheil Almer Paredes of PCIC, Ms. Rocile G. Pacatang of BFAR, and Ms. Rose Quitariano of PCA.

Through collaboration and dedicated public service, ATI-7 and DOJ-PPA demonstrate that agriculture can provide renewed hope, productive livelihoods, and successful reintegration into society.

Empowering lives through opportunity, education, and second chances.

On May 13, 2026, the Bohol Province Parole and Probation Office No. 1 successfully conducted the LEAP Program (Livelihood and Education Access Program), reaffirming its commitment to rehabilitation, personal transformation, and community reintegration for clients under supervision.

The activity was spearheaded by Cirilo R. Maramba Jr., together with Danna Merisa V. Ebra, Mark Louie Gucor, JOP Eljie Sumodobila, and AB-Psychology OJT Mariel Subsuban from Bohol Island State University's main campus. The program served as a meaningful platform for learning, empowerment, and renewed hope for every participant.

A significant factor behind the success of this undertaking was the invaluable contribution and dedicated leadership of LEAP Coordinator Edgar T. Baron Jr. Through his unwavering commitment, initiative, and tireless efforts, the program was effectively implemented. His dedication continues to inspire clients to pursue education, develop sustainable livelihood skills, and embrace positive change toward becoming productive and responsible members of society.

The LEAP Program stands as a testament to the belief that rehabilitation extends beyond compliance with the law. It is about restoring dignity, rebuilding confidence, and creating opportunities for individuals to begin anew. Every lecture delivered, every skill shared, and every encouragement extended during the activity reflected the office’s mission of promoting growth, accountability, and hope among its clients.

As the program continues to reach and transform lives, the Bohol Province Parole and Probation Office No. 1 remains committed to building a compassionate, inclusive community where everyone has the chance to rise above past mistakes and work toward a better future.
