The Local Government Unit of Pilar proudly launched the Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility at the Pilar Rural Health Unit, reaffirming its commitment to provide safe, accessible, inclusive, and youth-centered health services for adolescents aged 10โ19 years.
The program was graced by Municipal Administrator Anthony T. Baguio, as representative of Municipal Mayor Engr. Wilson Lagapa Pajo, together with DOH Development Management Officer IV Letecia Y. Yecyec, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Ma. Luisa B. Tago, Dr. James M. Peligro Jr. (DTTB), AYHP President John April Denoro, along with the dedicated RHU staff and nurses.
This facility serves as a safe and supportive space for young people facing various life challenges, especially those who may have difficulty opening up to their parents or guardians. It provides guidance, counseling, and emotional support while ensuring strict confidentiality and respect for every client.
Through this initiative, the LGU of Pilar continues its strong advocacy in promoting mental and emotional well-being, preventing bullying, and addressing health-related concerns among the youth, ensuring they have trusted professionals and services to rely on.
