TAGAYTAYO PODCAST | EPISODE 1: "The Creation"
Today marks another remarkable milestone for BJMP Tagaytay City Jail as we proudly launch the very first episode of our newest initiative, the TagaytayO Podcast.
This pioneering program was created with the goal of amplifying the voices within our institution, stories of transformation, resilience, and hope from Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), as well as insights from our dedicated BJMP personnel and partners in community development. Through this platform, we aim to open meaningful conversations that bring awareness, understanding, and inspiration to the public.
But what truly is TagaytayO Podcast?
The name itself carries deep meaning of “Tagaytay” that represents the place where our facility stands, a city known for its calm, elevated perspective and fresh air, symbolizing clarity and renewal. The letter “O” stands for Optimism, which reflects hope, positivity, and the belief in every PDL’s potential to change. Together, these embody our advocacy to build bridges of understanding between the community and those undergoing rehabilitation and reformation.
In this episode, we delve into how and why this podcast was created. A vision born out of our desire to educate, inspire, and transform perceptions about life behind bars. It serves as a reminder that being inside the facility is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of one’s journey toward healing, growth, and a renewed sense of purpose.
