📢✨ ELDERLY WEEK CELEBRATION – MAITIM 2ND CENTRAL ✨📢
October 29, 2025 | Senior Hall, Brgy. Maitim 2nd Central

Isang masaya at makabuluhang selebrasyon ng Elderly Week ang naganap ngayong araw sa Senior Hall ng ating barangay! ❤️👵👴

Sinimulan ang programa sa isang mainit at taos-pusong pagbati mula kay Kapitan Edwin, na nag-welcome sa ating mga mahal na senior at nagpasalamat sa kanilang patuloy na suporta at presensya sa mga gawain ng barangay.

Sinundan ito ng paalala tungkol sa Pinggang Pinoy at 10 Kumainments mula kay BNS Che, bilang gabay upang mapanatili ang tamang nutrisyon at kalusugan ng ating nakatatanda.

Nagkaroon din ng NCD Assessment at BP Monitoring para matutukan ang kanilang kalagayang pangkalusugan na pinangunahan ni BHW Jhona. Pagkatapos nito, nagsagawa ng maikling meeting ang mga Senior, pinangunahan ni Mr. Honofredo, upang pag-usapan ang pag-appoint ng bagong treasurer at mga plano para sa kanilang nalalapit na Christmas Party.

Naghandog din ang barangay ng meryenda, na talagang ikinatuwa ng lahat. Pagkatapos kumain, sinimulan ang masasayang palaro tulad ng Pinoy Henyo, kung saan 3 pares ang nagwagi at tumanggap ng premyo! Mayroon ding bunutan kung saan bawat senior ay nakakuha ng kanilang munting papremyo para maiuwi.

Bago matapos ang programa, nagsaya at sumayaw ang lahat sa isang masiglang Zumba session, na nagbigay ng good vibes at enerhiya bago umuwi.

Umalis ang ating mga senior na may ngiti at saya—isang patunay na ang simpleng pagtitipon ay nagdudulot ng malaking ligaya sa ating nakatatanda.

Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng dumalo at Tumulong sa program para sa ating mga Seniors! ❤️

Mga kabarangay, papalapit na po ang Bagyong Opong, kaya’t maghanda tayo para sa kaligtasan ng ating pamilya at komunidad. 🙏🌧️💨

✅ Mag-imbak ng malinis na tubig at pagkain na hindi madaling masira.
✅ I-charge ang inyong mga cellphone at power bank para laging may komunikasyon.
✅Kadila at Posporo
✅ Mag-ingat at manatili sa loob ng bahay kung hindi kinakailangang lumabas.
✅ Kung may kailangan ng tulong, tumawag o mag-chat sa ating group chat upang agad kaming makaresponde.

Sama-sama tayong magbantay at magtulungan para sa ating kaligtasan. 💙

Last September 20, 2025, Maitim 2nd Central celebrated Obesity Prevention Awareness Week with fun-filled activities like a Fun Run and Zumba Session! 🏃‍♀️🕺 After the activities, all attendees enjoyed Arroz Caldo with egg and bread served by our hardworking Barangay Staff. 🍵🍳

Special thanks to all our attendees — Kababaihan, Kalalakihan, Kabataan, Senior Citizens, and PWDs — for participating! 🙌 We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Barangay Captain, Barangay Council, Barangay Nutrition Staffs (BNS,BNAO,BHW, BVHWs and PLs) and Sangguniang Kabataan for organizing and supporting this meaningful event. ❤️

Isang masayang araw ang ating naranasan kasama ang mga g**o, mga bata, magulang, at mga barangay staff! 🎉 Sama-sama tayong nagpunta sa Picnic Grove at Fire Station kung saan puno ng tawanan, saya, at mga bagong kaalaman ang bawat isa. 🚒🌳

Nag-enjoy ang lahat sa mga laro tulad ng:

Matapos ang mga laro, sabay-sabay tayong nagsalu-salo sa masasarap na pagkain na inihanda ng bawat pamilya. 🍽️✨ Hindi rin nawala ang mga premyo tulad ng mga laruan, kendi, at kitchen tools para sa mga nanalo! 🧸🍭🍴

Ito ay naging isang di-malilimutang karanasan na puno ng bonding, pagmamahalan, at masasayang alaala, kasama ang ating Good Shepherd family. 💛📸 Salamat sa lahat ng sumama at naging bahagi ng espesyal na araw na ito!

Barangay Maitim 2nd Central Residences Update
🌀 Typhoon Emong | 🦟 Dengue Prevention | 💊 Vitamin Distribution

In light of Typhoon Emong, our barangay Councilors, barangay staffs and barangay health worker have been actively monitoring the situation in our barangay to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Regular patrols and weather updates are being conducted to respond quickly to any emergencies.

At the same time, our team has launched a Search and Destroy Operation to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds and help prevent dengue outbreaks, especially during this rainy season. We urge everyone to check their surroundings and do their part in keeping our community safe.

✅ We have also started the distribution of vitamins to residents, especially children and senior citizens, to strengthen immunity during this vulnerable time.

Let’s continue working together to keep our barangay safe and healthy!

🍲 Food Distribution During Typhoon Crising 🌧️ | Maitim 2nd Central with Nutri-Mobile

Despite the rains brought by Typhoon Crising, bayanihan spirit continues to shine in Maitim 2nd Central! ❤️

We conducted a hot meal distribution featuring comforting bowls of Arroz Caldo with egg—served warm and with care to families and children affected by the storm.

This initiative was not only to fill hungry stomachs but to remind our community that even in the midst of hardship, no one is left behind.

👩‍🍳💛 Special thanks to our Barangay Captain, to all Barangay Councilor, Barangay Staffs who sponsors this food distribution and health workers who helped prepare, cook, and serve the meals. Together, we nourish both body and hope.
