DSWD Caraga, Tagana-an LGU Strengthen Readiness for PCRP Batch 2 Enrollment
TAGANA-AN, Surigao del Norte โ The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through its KALAHI-CIDSS Program, conducted an LGU Forum for the Enrollment and Capacity Assessment (CA) of the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP) Batch 2 on August 11, 2026, at the Municipal Hall of Tagana-an.
The forum provided the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tagana-an with a clearer understanding of PCRP, its engagement process and enrollment requirements, and the Capacity Assessment tools. Discussions also covered the Local Contribution Counterpart (LCC) Delivery Plan, LGU Work and Financial Plan, and the succeeding steps and timelines for enrollment.
Municipal Mayor Cesar Ian B. Diaz opened the activity, followed by discussions facilitated by DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS personnel on PCRP enrollment requirements, the LCC Delivery Plan, Work and Financial Plan, and the Capacity Assessment process. Participants also worked on the required Capacity Assessment tools and reviewed the results to identify areas that need to be strengthened before enrollment.
The activity highlighted the importance of institutional readiness, financial commitment, community participation, and sustainability measures in preparing the LGU for the implementation of resilience-building initiatives.
The forum brought together the municipal mayor, representatives from various LGU offices, and members of the Municipal Area Coordinating Team (MACT) of Tagana-an, together with the DSWD Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) team.
The activity concluded with Mayor Diaz reaffirming the LGUโs commitment to working with DSWD and other stakeholders in advancing the PCRP enrollment process.
Through the LGU Forum, DSWD Field Office Caraga and KALAHI-CIDSS continue to strengthen local partnerships and institutional capacities toward resilient, inclusive, and community-driven development.
