This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to strengthening anti-drug abuse programs, promoting good governance, and building a safer, healthier, and drug-free community for all.

ONE Goal : A Drug Free Municipality ☝🏻✨

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Tagana-an, officially started Stage 1 of the Project LAWA at BINHI – Risk Resiliency Program for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRPCFTW) through its Cash-for-Training (CFTW) component.

The activity commenced with an overview of the project by Ms. Rachelle B. Pacot-Go, PDO II, who highlighted the program's objective of strengthening community resilience to climate change while providing temporary employment opportunities to vulnerable households. Beneficiaries of the program are from the barangays of Lower Libas, Laurel, and Himamaug.

As part of the training, participants gained valuable knowledge on Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) discussed by Mr. Sandae M. Patagan, Disaster Preparedness discussed by Ms. Rosemarie Buico, MDRRMO, and Women and Children Protection Laws discussed by Ms. Leah Perales of the PNP Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD).

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of DSWD Caraga and the LGU of Tagana-an in empowering communities and building a more resilient future.

The First Flag Raising Ceremony for the Month of June was held today, attended by Acting Municipal Mayor Hon. Cesar B. Diaz, Jr., SB Members Hon. Cherelyn Alceso, Hon. Mercy Benedicto, and Hon. Marte Manubag, together with our dedicated Municipal Employees.

National Flag Day | May 28, 2026

The Local Government Unit of Tagana-an, under the leadership of Mayor Cesar Ian B. Diaz, Vice Mayor Cesar B. Diaz, Jr. and SB Members, solemnly joins the nation in the observance of National Flag Day.

May 28 marks the day in 1898 when the Philippine flag was first unfurled in victory at the Battle of Alapan, Cavite. The flag stands as the enduring symbol of our sovereignty, unity, and the sacrifices of our forebears who fought for freedom and independence.

As we observe this day, LGU Tagana-an encourages every citizen to uphold the values enshrined in our flag—patriotism, unity, and respect for law. Let us manifest these ideals through responsible citizenship and dedicated service to our community and nation.
