SK Kalandagan Culminated Linggo ng Kabataan with Celebration of Youth Participation and Achievement

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Kalandagan formally concluded its three-day Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK) celebration through a culmination and awarding ceremony that recognized the participation and achievements of the barangay’s youth. The ceremony followed a series of sports, recreational, and community-based activities conducted throughout the celebration, giving participants an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, teamwork, discipline, and commitment.

The culmination brought together the youth, SK officials, community leaders, and residents to celebrate the successful completion of the barangay-level activities. Awards and recognition were presented to deserving participants and winners, acknowledging their efforts and contributions throughout the various competitions. The event also highlighted the importance of meaningful youth participation in community affairs and demonstrated the SK Council’s commitment to providing inclusive and purposeful activities for the young people of Barangay Kalandagan.

The closing ceremony marked the end of the celebration, but its message remained clear: when young people are given opportunities to participate, lead, and serve, they become active partners in building a stronger and more connected community.

Kalandagan Youth Celebrated Linggo ng Kabataan Through Traditional Filipino Games

KALANDAGAN — The youth of Barangay Kalandagan gathered on Day 3 of the barangay-level Linggo ng Kabataan celebration to participate in a series of traditional Filipino games. The activities included Dakpanay Manok, a game in which participants caught a native chicken in an open field, as well as Longest Line and Tug of War. The participants actively joined the games and enjoyed the activities throughout the day.

The celebration provided the youth with an opportunity to enjoy traditional games while developing teamwork, cooperation, discipline, and camaraderie. It also encouraged young people to participate actively in community activities and strengthened their connection with fellow youth and residents of Barangay Kalandagan.

The successful activities showed that simple traditional games could bring the youth together, create lasting memories, and strengthen community spirit.
