PUBLIC ADVISORY:

Please be advised that the Baras Bird Sanctuary is NOT CLOSED but is currently under the supervision of the Heirs of the late Engr. Orlando B. Malana and Mrs. Gloria E. Malana due to the expiration of the previous 10-year Contract of Lease between LGU Tacurong and the late Malana Spouses.

Negotiations for a Provisional Contract of Lease have been completed, and partnership between the city government and Malana Family will resume upon signing of the same.

Further, all preparations and improvements for the resumption of operations of Baras Bird Sanctuary under LGU Tacurong are currently affected by the prevailing election ban in line with the upcoming Midterm Elections in May 2025.

In the interim, operation of Baras Bird Sanctuary is at the sole discretion of the Malana Family. We ask that you continue to support them.
