The event featured an awarding ceremony honoring exemplary public servants and valued partners who have demonstrated dedication, commitment, and excellence in the delivery of public service. It also served as an avenue to recognize individuals and organizations whose meaningful contributions continue to support government programs and initiatives and promote a culture of integrity, professionalism, and excellence in public service.

CGDEV remains steadfast in its mandate to serve the Filipino people and looks forward to sustaining collaborative efforts with its partners toward safer, more resilient, and progressive communities in Eastern Visayas.

๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: The Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas (CGDEV), under the leadership of Captain Alvin Dagalea PCG, conducted the Water Safety Familiarization and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for the Sea Scouts and youth of Tolosa at Kamalig ni Terong Private Resort, Brgy. Telefrago, Tolosa, Leyte on 03โ€“04 October 2026.

The two-day activity was initiated by the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary โ€“ Eastern Visayas (PCGA-EV) in partnership with the Philippine Life Saving and the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 8 (BFP R8).

The training aimed to equip the participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in drowning prevention, hazard awareness, CPR, basic first aid, and non-contact rescue techniques. Through hands-on activities, the Sea Scouts and youth learned how to respond calmly and safely to aquatic emergencies without putting themselves at risk.

Beyond emergency preparedness, the activity supports Scouting advancement requirements while promoting discipline, self-reliance, leadership, teamwork, and community responsibility. It also reinforces the importance of building a strong culture of water safety and preparedness among the youth and the communities they serve.

Through continued collaboration with partner agencies and organizations, CGDEV remains committed to promoting maritime safety, saving lives, and building safer and more resilient communities.

The activity gathered officers, enlisted personnel, and non-uniformed personnel assigned in the district in observance of the traditional flag-raising ceremony which reflects discipline, unity, and commitment to public service.

The Monday Morning Colors also served as an avenue for the dissemination of updates, reminders, and guidance to personnel as they continue to uphold the core values of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty.

During the activity, the Coast Guard K9 units conducted comprehensive security procedures, including venue paneling, systematic security sweeps, and continuous monitoring of the activity area to help ensure the safety and security of all participants, guests, and personnel.

๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ: The Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas (CGDEV), under the leadership of Captain Alvin B Dagalea PCG, conducted the 1105th Auxiliary Squadron Induction, Donning and Promotion Ceremony at Convention B Function Room, Convention Center, Baybay City, Leyte, yesterday, 28 September 2026.

The ceremony was presided by Captain Alvin B Dagalea PCG together with Auxiliary Commodore Ma Margarita C Junia PCGA, Director of Coast Guard Auxiliary District Eastern Visayas (CGADEV), signifying the formal induction, donningof the newly appointed officers and members of the 1105th Auxiliary Squadron and promotion ceremony to the newly promoted 1105th Auxiliary Squadron members. The event reaffirmed the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to strengthening volunteerism, maritime safety, environmental protection, and community service through an active and dedicated Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Also present during the ceremony were Lieutenant Commander Adrian Rey S Madrid PCG, Station Commander, CGS Southern Leyte, other station commander, and other Officers and Non-Officers of Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas.
