Palo, Leyte — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Leyte brought essential National ID services closer to senior citizens through a two-day service activity held on 3-4 September 2026 at Montejo Gym, Brgy. Santa Cruz, Palo, Leyte.

The activity was conducted upon the request of the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), with the aim of providing senior citizens with accessible and convenient National ID services within their community.

READ | Main Contributors to August 2026 Inflation

The main contributors to the overall inflation in August 2026 were:
🍽️ Food and non-alcoholic beverages - 28.8%
🏠 Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels - 26.6%
🚍 Transport - 20.1%

Meanwhile, core inflation, which excludes selected food and energy items, eased to 4.1% in August 2026 from 4.2% in July 2026.

Batay sa survey ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), narito ang tatlong nangungunang kalakal na nagtala ng pinakamataas na growth rate sa importasyon:
🌽 Mais: 459.9%
🛢️Langis ng krudo: 76.3%
🌾 Bigas: 65.9%

Samantala, narito naman ang mga kalakal nagtala ng pinakamababang growth rate:
🍚 Asukal: -77.3%
🍣 Salmon: -36.2%
🚬 Tabako: -33.7%

TINGNAN | Kabuuang Importasyon ng Pagkain ng Pilipinas (Hulyo 2026)

Umabot sa USD 1.39 bilyon ang halaga ng importasyon ng pagkain sa Pilipinas noong Hulyo 2026. Mas mataas ito ng 3.6% kumpara noong Hulyo 2025 na may halagang USD 1.34 bilyon.

Samantala, naitala ang kabuuang bigat ng importasyon ng pagkain sa 1.72 milyong metrikong tonelada, mas mataas ito ng 14.0% kumpara noong Hulyo 2025. Ito rin ay 13.4% ng kabuuang bigat ng importasyon ng bansa.

TINGNAN | Importasyon ng Bigas ng Pilipinas (Hulyo 2026) 🌾

Nitong Hulyo 2026, umabot sa USD 214.50 milyon ang halaga ng importasyon ng bigas sa Pilipinas, at ito ay may kabuuang bigat na 516.78 libong metrikong tonelada.

Narito naman ang apat na pangunahing bansa na pinanggalingan ng imported na bigas noong Hulyo 2026:
🇻🇳Vietnam – 49.6%
🇹🇭Thailand – 19.1%
🇲🇲Myanmar – 16.3%
🇵🇰Pakistan – 12.1%

TINGNAN | Eksportasyon ng Saging ng Pilipinas (Hulyo 2026) 🍌

Noong Hulyo 2026, kabilang sa sampung nangungunang pangkat ng kalakal sa exportasyon ng Pilipinas ang saging. Naitala ang halaga ng exportasyon nito sa USD 110.62 milyon, na may kabuuang bigat na 187.92 libong metrikong tonelada.
