PAALALA SA PUBLIKO|| Libreng Pagsali sa mga Programa ng DOLE

Ang publiko ay pinaaalalahanan na ang lahat ng mga programa at serbisyo ng DOLE na naglalaan ng pondo para sa mga benepisyaryo sa pamamagitan ng Accredited Co-Partner (ACP) ay maaaring ma-avail nang libre. Ginawa ang mga programang ito upang suportahan at itaas ang kalidad ng buhay ng ating mga kababayan na nangangailangan. Kung kaya’t walang anumang pinansyal na obligasyon ang sinuman o anumang grupo na nagnanais na makasali sa mga serbisyong ito.


Ang DOLE ay nagpapatupad ng zero-tolerance policy laban sa mga ACPs o indibidwal na nang-aabuso o nananamantala sa mga programa ng Kagawaran para sa pansariling kapakinabangan. Halimbawa nito ang paghingi ng anumang uri ng facilitation fees at kickbacks, misrepresentasyon, at iba pang gawain na nakasasama sa interes ng mga totoong benepisyaryo.

Ang sinumang ACP o indibidwal na mapatunayang lumabag sa mga alituntunin ng Kagawaran kaugnay sa implementasyon ng mga programa at serbisyo nito ay agad na ipapawalang-bisa ang akreditasyon at ilalagay sa watch-list. Ang hakbang na ito ay may layuning tiyakin na hindi na sila muli pang makakalahok sa mga programa ng DOLE.

Bilang karagdagan, ang publiko ay pinapayuhan na i-report agad ang anumang anomalya kaugnay sa implementasyon ng mga programa ng DOLE. The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine them in creative ways. And much like all other organizations, the country’s network of Public Employment Service Offices (PESO) is no exception. It was reared for success through years of consistent hard work, cooperation, and unrelenting spirit to serve the Filipino people.

Cognizant of the important role of Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) in the successful delivery of the department’s employment facilitation programs, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 8 recently embarked on enhancing the competencies of its PESO Managers through assisting them in attaining the Public Employment Services NC IV of the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

After completing the training and assessment conducted by TESDA-8 on July 21-24, 2022 at TESDA Training Center in Tacloban, fifteen (15) PESO Managers from different municipalities of Region 8 have already passed and obtained the PES NC IV.

The PES NC IV Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to promote full employment facilitation and equality of employment opportunities for all. It institutionalizes a degree of demarcation of the qualified PESO and the amateur PESO.

Aside from the 15 PESO Managers, six employees of DOLE-8 have likewise obtained the PES NC IV.

100 Taclobanon youths complete DOLE’s Jobstart Life Skills Training

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Tacloban reported that 100 JobStarters (trainees) were recognized for successfully completing the ten (10) days first batch of Life Skills Training (LST) on 26 August 2022.

As the program envisions full cycle employment services, the trainees shall undergo the next phase of the program which involves technical training, job matching and internship.

Upon completion of internship with partner employers, trainees will be further assessed and evaluated by the PESO to determine their overall job readiness and whether they should be referred for employment or would require further training.

In an effort to address unemployment and underemployment issues, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) VIII conducted the Jobs Fit 2022-2025 Labor Market Information (LMI) Report Development Regional Consultation last June 3,2022.

The activity aims to convene relevant stakeholders to discuss current and future employment trends and to update information both for labor demand and supply.

Different National Line Agencies attended the said consultation to provide insights in their fields such as the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) VIII, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) VIII, Department of Education (DEPED) VIII, Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) VIII, and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) VIII.

To ensure that Public Employment Service Offices (PESO) get good grasp and understanding of the dynamics of labor market, PESO managers learn Labor Market Intelligence (LMI).

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Region VIII convened 100 PESO managers in a two-day basic management training on LMI with Employment and Vocational Training Educator Virgilio V. Guillermo, as resource person.

The training program was conducted to ensure that PESO managers understand the basic operation of the labor market and help them identify and utilize labor market information to address existing labor and employment problems specifically, the job and skills mismatch.
