DAPBMES General Assembly for School Year 2026–2027

As part of the Opening Block activities for School Year 2026–2027, DAPBMES successfully conducted its General Assembly with parents and guardians on June 10, 2026. The activity served as an avenue to strengthen the partnership between the school and families in ensuring the holistic development and academic success of our learners.

The program included updates on the LIS/EBEIS, academic calendar, grading system, school policies, language mapping for Key Stage 1, child protection policies, health and nutrition programs, school feeding initiatives, SDRMM, and the SPTA President's Report. Parents and guardians were also oriented on important school programs, expectations, and their vital role in supporting their children's education.

Our very own Master Teacher Virginia Gilbuena, delivered the opening message, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among teachers, parents, and stakeholders in achieving the goals of the school and the Department of Education for the new school year. The activity aligns with DepEd's efforts to strengthen school-community partnerships and ensure a smooth opening of classes under the School Year 2026–2027 reforms and three-term school calendar.

DAPBMES extends its sincere appreciation to all parents, guardians, teachers, and school personnel who participated in the General Assembly. Together, we remain committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and learner-centered environment for every child.

Also present during the General Assembly was Division Office representative Nurse Lyra Macatimpag, who discussed the importance of health and nutrition among learners. She highlighted proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle practices, disease prevention, personal hygiene, and the shared responsibility of parents and the school in promoting the overall well-being of children. Her discussion emphasized that healthy learners are better equipped to participate actively in school and achieve academic success.

The school extends its gratitude to Nurse Macatimpag and the Schools Division Office for supporting DAPBMES in its efforts to promote the health and welfare of every learner.

Special participation was also extended by representatives from the City Government of Tacloban, who informed the parents, guardians, and other attendees about the upcoming Baranggayan to be held on June 11, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN at the Barangay 77 Multipurpose Hall. The activity will offer various free services to the community, including free haircuts, assistance on live birth registration and documentation, feeding program, pet vaccination, and many other government services. Residents from Barangay 77 and neighboring barangays are likewise encouraged and welcome to avail themselves of these services and participate in the community activity.

DAPBMES extends its appreciation to the City LGU for bringing essential government services closer to the community and for sharing this important information during the General Assembly.
