💚🌱𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗦.𝗧.𝗘.𝗣.𝗦. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱🌱💚

In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025, the SK of Brgy. 6-A, together with Aghat Kabataan, proudly participated in the collaborative initiative 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗦.𝗧.𝗘.𝗣.𝗦.💚

We engaged in a meaningful Mangrove Planting Activity last August 17, 2025, at Baybay, Brgy. 99, Tacloban City.

Alongside dedicated volunteers and partner barangays, we successfully planted 100 mangrove trees, an essential step in safeguarding our ecosystems and fostering sustainability. 💚

A heartfelt thank you to the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. 6, 14, 81, and 99, and to Aghat Kabataan, for their invaluable contributions.

We also extend our warm appreciation to our SK Chairperson, Hon. Daisy Balais, and the SK Council for providing breakfast and for this initiative in support of our environment.💚🤗

Calling all Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, Youth Organizations (YO), and Youth-Serving Organizations (YSO) in Tacloban City! 🚐✨

Be part of the much-anticipated highlight of this year’s Linggo ng Kabataan — the Float/Decorated Multicab Competition! Transform your multicab into a moving symbol of youth action for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and beyond. Showcase your creativity, unity, and commitment to change!

📌 KEY DETAILS
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 WHO CAN JOIN?

Open to all SK Councils (individual barangays or by area), recognized Youth Organizations (YO), and Youth-Serving Organizations (YSO) at the barangay level in Tacloban City.

Only one (1) entry per area is allowed.

🤝 PARTICIPATION ARRANGEMENTS:

If the SK is not participating, a YO or YSO may represent the area.

If the YO/YSO is not interested, the SK may participate independently.

If both are interested, they may choose to collaborate or decide among themselves who will officially represent the area.

All participants are encouraged to coordinate with each other for support and unity in showcasing their area’s youth-led efforts.

Tsunami Warning Prompts Suspension of Gov’t Work and Classes in Tacloban

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez issued Executive Order No. 2025-07-35, suspending government work and classes in both public and private schools this afternoon, July 30, 2025.

Suspension of private work is advised but subject to the discretion of the management.

The suspension follows the advise of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) mandating LGUs to take precautionary measures. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) earlier today issued an advisory on a possible tsunami hitting the country, following an 8.7 megaquake that hit Russia.
