We responded to the request of Barangay 88 to conduct Gender Sensitivity Training and Gender Responsive Planning and Budgeting held last October 20, 2026, Brgy. Hall, Barangay 88.

Gender Sensitivity and Gender Responsive Planning and Budgeting
aims to ensure that gender perspectives are mainstreamed in the plans, programs, projects and activities at barangay level. To ensure compliance of the said mandates, it is necessary that the barangay officials, volunteer workers and other stakeholders must be aware and capacitated on GAD and gender mainstreaming strategies.

This activity was facilitated by the staff of City Population Office Ms. Jemima Kezzia T. Dalore, PPW II and Ms. Ginaline O. Adona.

We responded to the request of Barangay 42 to conduct Harmonized Gender and Development Guideline (HGDG) Seminar held last October 18, 2026 at Miguel Villa, Barangay 91, Abucay, Tacloban City.

HGDG aims to capacitate member of the Barangay GAD Focal Point System on how identify gender specific needs, priorities and responsibilities and how it affects womenโ€™s and men access and control it resources, their participation and influence in decision-making.

This activity was facilitated by the staff of City Population Office Mr. Bonifacio Jr. A. Cuesta, PPW II and Ms. Ginaline O. Adona.

We responded to the request of Brgy. 75 to conduct Responsible Parenting Seminar for Parents of Youth held last October 17, 2026 at Brgy. Hall, Barangay 75.

Parents of Youth Seminar aims to educate the parents of youth with the necessary knowledge on adolescent s*xuality and other health-related concerns; to develop the parentsโ€™ communication skills and ways how to get along with their adolescents and to let parents understand their roles as the primary source of accurate and sound information on adolescent health and development, including life and skills.

This activity was facilitated by our program advocates Ms. Christina V. Jackson and Ms. Rhodora Q. Daisog.

We responded to the request of Brgy. 60 to conduct Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RP/FP) Seminar held last October 20, 2026 at Brgy. Hall, Barangay 60.

RPFP Seminar aims to guide couples and parents in exercising responsible parenting. It also seeks to provide them with adequate information on various family planning programs and services under the principle of informed choice and volunteerism, in order to achieve the desired number, timing, and birth spacing of their children, thereby contributing to the improvement of maternal, neonatal, and child health, and nutrition.

This activity was facilitated by our Program advocates Ms. Christina V. Jackson and Ms. Rhodora Q. Daisog.

Last Friday, October 16, 2026, the Baranggay officials, barangay personnel, and community stakeholders of Barangay 106 Sto. Niรฑo successfully conducted the Gender-Responsive Planning & Budgeting Activity (GRPB) at Zackyโ€™s Events Place, Brgy. 96, Calanipawan, Tacloban City.
Organized by the Barangay 106 Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System under the leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Edgar B. Grego and GAD Focal Person Hon. Norley V. Malesido, the workshop focused on integrating gender mainstreaming into our local development plans, policies, and resource allocations.
Special appreciation to the City Population Office of Tacloban, led by OIC Hedeliza P. Ramos, for providing technical guidance and expertise throughout the session.

The Barangay GAD Focal Persons had their 2nd semestral meeting last October 6 - 7 held at City Population Office. The said meeting aims to inform and discuss issues and concerns with regards to the GAD Program implementation in the Barangay.

The meeting mainly highlighted the discussion on the submission of their 2027 Barangay GAD Plan, completion of Barangay Accomplishment Report and the discussion on the Registry Barangay Inhabitants and Migrant System (RBIMS) resolution.

The said activity aims to enhance the understanding and awareness of a safe and secure environment for all individuals, particularly in workplaces and educational institutions; to protect all individuals, regardless of s*x, s*xual orientation, and gender identity and expression, from all forms of gender-based s*xual harassment (GBSH) committed in public spaces, educational or training institutions, workplaces, and online spaces.
