The "tachok" is a Kalinga festival dance from the Philippines, often performed by women, that imitates the flight of birds to celebrate happy occasions like a wedding, or a peace pact called a budong. The dance is accompanied by the rhythmic beating of gongs (known as gangsa) and is a joyful expression of victory and happiness.
