COORDINATION MEETING HELD FOR VISIT OF PAPAL NUNCIO; PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR EPISCOPAL ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION
TABUK CITY, KALINGA – The Emergency Response Committee convened to lay the groundwork and discuss preparations for the upcoming visit of the Papal Nuncio to the Philippines. The envoy is expected in the province for the canonical installation of Rev. Fr. Sean B. Mejia as the new Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk.
Presiding over the meeting was Provincial Legal Officer Atty. John Paul Baguiwan. The activity was jointly facilitated by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDDRRMO) headed by Mr. Christian T. Luyaben and the Office of the Provincial Administrator led by Mr. Teddy E. Gullay.
The gathering was well-attended by members of the committee but not limited to uniformed personnel from the PNP, BFP, Philippine Army, and SAF, as well as medical teams from Kalinga Provincial Hospital, DOH, OPHO and Philippine Red Cross - Kalinga Chapter. Also present were barangay officials of Bulanao Centro and Bulanao Norte, representatives of DILG, Provincial General Services Office, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Provincial Treasurer’s Office, and the Office of the Governor. Representatives from the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk City also joined the discussions.
The meeting centered on establishing orderly and efficient coordination among agencies to ensure the visit is safe and successful. The participants committed to working together to make the historic occasion and the installation of the new Bishop meaningful and impactful for the province.
