The City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office (CBACRO), under the leadership of Reamcy Mar G. Adong, successfully conducted a Consultation on the Late Submission of Financial Statements cm Financial Literacy Training for barangay and SK treasurers.

The training, in partnership with the City Budget Office, City Treasury Office, and City Accounting Office, aimed to address common challenges in the timely submission of financial reports. Resource speakers from these offices provided guidance on financial management, ensuring compliance with government regulations and promoting transparency in handling public funds.

Participants engaged in discussions on financial accountability, reporting procedures, and best practices in budget management. Many expressed appreciation for the activity, citing its relevance in improving their roles as financial stewards in their respective barangays.

CBACRO reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening financial governance at the barangay level and plans to hold similar capacity-building activities to support local officials in fulfilling their responsibilities efficiently.

The Cultural Rites Presentation Committee, spearheaded by the CBACRO under the Community Affairs Division, together with MBCC, conducted a meeting with representatives of participating subtribes and ethnolinguistic groups to discuss the mechanics and monitoring activities for the upcoming event on June 26, 2024. This meeting was held on May 24, 2024, at the Population Development Hall, City Hall Compound.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held to ensure that all cultural presentations align with the festivalโ€™s objectives and theme, "Journey to the City of Life." Representatives shared insights and suggestions to enhance the overall ex*****on of the performances. ATM: The City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office, under the Barangay Affairs Division, together with the City Accounting Office, is currently conducting an orientation on common documentary requirements, utilization, and reports specifically for barangay treasurers. This activity is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the 43 barangay treasurers from across the city, ensuring they are well-equipped to comply with the latest guidelines stipulated in COA Circular No. 2023-004.

This initiative underscores the city's commitment to fostering good governance at the barangay level. By providing this targeted training, CBACRO aims to ensure that all barangay treasurers are well-versed in the latest financial regulations and can efficiently manage their financial responsibilities.
