The City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office (CBACRO), under the leadership of Reamcy Mar G. Adong, successfully conducted a Consultation on the Late Submission of Financial Statements cm Financial Literacy Training for barangay and SK treasurers.

The training, in partnership with the City Budget Office, City Treasury Office, and City Accounting Office, aimed to address common challenges in the timely submission of financial reports. Resource speakers from these offices provided guidance on financial management, ensuring compliance with government regulations and promoting transparency in handling public funds.

Participants engaged in discussions on financial accountability, reporting procedures, and best practices in budget management. Many expressed appreciation for the activity, citing its relevance in improving their roles as financial stewards in their respective barangays.

CBACRO reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening financial governance at the barangay level and plans to hold similar capacity-building activities to support local officials in fulfilling their responsibilities efficiently.

The first day of the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 has been successfully conducted, with Barangays 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 and 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 completing their assessments. This program aims to recognize outstanding barangay secretaries by evaluating their 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, including administrative efficiency, record-keeping, and compliance with governance standards.

We commend the 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 of Masablang and Lanna for their dedication and hard work in ensuring effective local governance. The evaluation continues in the coming days as we assess more barangays.

The partnership aims to enhance academic and community development efforts through KSU’s College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) and CLGU-Tabuk’s City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office (CBACRO).

LOOK: The City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office (CBACRO), the CSO Desk Office, in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office, led an orientation during the 3rd Quarter Federation Meeting of Solo Parents. The session focused on the CSO accreditation process for Barangay-Based Institutions (BBIs) and at the city level, empowering solo parents to actively engage in local governance.

The Cultural Rites Presentation Committee, spearheaded by the CBACRO under the Community Affairs Division, together with MBCC, conducted a meeting with representatives of participating subtribes and ethnolinguistic groups to discuss the mechanics and monitoring activities for the upcoming event on June 26, 2024. This meeting was held on May 24, 2024, at the Population Development Hall, City Hall Compound.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held to ensure that all cultural presentations align with the festival’s objectives and theme, "Journey to the City of Life." Representatives shared insights and suggestions to enhance the overall ex*****on of the performances. The committee emphasized the importance of cultural authenticity and respect for traditions, aiming to provide a presentation that preserves the rich heritage and culture of the city.

ATM: The City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office, under the Barangay Affairs Division, together with the City Accounting Office, is currently conducting an orientation on common documentary requirements, utilization, and reports specifically for barangay treasurers. This activity is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the 43 barangay treasurers from across the city, ensuring they are well-equipped to comply with the latest guidelines stipulated in COA Circular No. 2023-004.

This initiative underscores the city's commitment to fostering good governance at the barangay level. By providing this targeted training, CBACRO aims to ensure that all barangay treasurers are well-versed in the latest financial regulations and can efficiently manage their financial responsibilities.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducted a four day Capacitation and Leveling Off of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee on Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, 43 barangays were divided into two clusters, speakers from the City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office- cbacro were invited to discuss the accreditation of Civil Society Organization through the Barangay Based Institution.

LOOK: The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee, along with invited resource speakers from the City Barangay Affairs and Community Relations Office- cbacro , conducted a levelling session for the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee on Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. This activity aims to enhance the awareness of BDRRMCs on disaster risk, along with the accreditation of Barangay-Based Civil Society Organizations and the selection of their representatives in the Barangay-Based Institution. The event was held at M Hotel, Tabuk City, from May 21-24, 2024.
