On July 12, 2024, Maravilla Public Beach in Maravilla, Tabuelan, Cebu, became the vibrant backdrop for the much-celebrated Suroy-Suroy Sugbo 2024. The event was a spectacular display of local culture, unity, and lively festivities.

The highlight of the day was the lively dance performances led by our esteemed local officials:

Municipal Mayor Honorable Raul T. Gerona and the barangay officials captivated everyone with their energetic dance of KURADANG. Their performance was a beautiful showcase of our traditional dance and leadership spirit.

Municipal Vice Mayor Honorable Rex Casiano T. Gerona and the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members brought the crowd to their feet with their spirited rendition of KURATSA. Their engaging dance reflected the vibrant and joyous essence of our community.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who made Suroy-Suroy Sugbo 2024 a resounding success:

On June 23, 2024, the Tabuelan Astrodome was the heart of our vibrant Ani-Anihan Festival, a day dedicated to celebrating our rich cultural heritage and community unity. This year's festival was extra special as we paid tribute to Senior San Juan Bautista, whose legacy continues to inspire us all.

The festival was officially kicked off with a stirring opening remarks speech from our visionary and project-oriented Mayor, Honorable Raul T. Gerona. His inspiring words set a positive tone for the festivities and highlighted his unwavering commitment to celebrating and preserving our town's rich heritage.

This year’s festival featured two exhilarating highlights:

Ritual Showdown Competition: A breathtaking display of traditional rituals that honored our cultural heritage with respect and artistry. The performances were deeply moving, offering a beautiful glimpse into the customs and traditions that define our community.

Street Dancing Competition: The Tabuelan streets came alive with an electrifying street dance competition where local groups dazzled the crowd with their creativity, energy, and skill. The performances were a true testament to the incredible talent within our community.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone who made this event possible. A big thank you to our Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members for their steadfast support and dedication. Your contributions were crucial in bringing this festival to life.

We also extend our deepest appreciation to the Fiesta Committees, Department Heads, Choreographers, Assistant Choreographers, and Dance Masters. Your tireless efforts, creativity, and coordination ensured the success of the festival, and the spectacular performances were a direct result of your hard work and passion.
