IN PHOTOS|| Under the leadership of FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director, and the direct supervision of FSUPT JERICKSON P MIRAFLOR, Provincial Fire Marshal, Albay, and headed by FSINSP JOERES REY V OYARDO, Acting City Fire Marshal, conducted a Troop Information and Education (TI&E) Program. This initiative was designed to broaden knowledge, raise awareness, and enhance operational preparedness among all personnel.
TI&E speaker for today is FO2 Jan A Loiz Zaragoza, facilitated a meaningful and engaging discussion on the topic “Willingness to Learn.” The discussion highlighted that learning is a continuous process that does not end with formal training or classroom instruction. Instead, it is developed through everyday experiences, constructive feedback, teamwork, and the willingness to recognize areas for improvement.
FO2 Zaragoza emphasized that having a willingness to learn enables personnel to adapt to changing situations, improve their skills, correct shortcomings, and respond more effectively to the demands of their profession. In the fire service, where situations can be unpredictable and decisions may directly affect the safety of both responders and the community, continuous learning and adaptability are essential qualities.
The session likewise encouraged personnel to cultivate an open mind, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and learn from both successes and mistakes. By fostering a culture of continuous learning, the organization strengthens not only individual competence but also teamwork, discipline, professionalism, and overall operational preparedness.
The TI&E Program concluded with a renewed appreciation among personnel of the importance of being teachable, adaptable, and committed to self-improvement. The activity reinforced the principle that a competent and dependable fire service is built by personnel who are always willing to learn, improve, and serve the community with dedication and excellence.
