The Department of Trade and Industry – Albay Provincial Office under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), conducted Phase 2 of Marketing Trends and Techniques on Coconut Water Vinegar Processing Training last November 15, 2022 at Vista Garden, San Juan, Tabaco City. This activity is a continuation of Phase 1 with the following objectives: to identify the quality of the coconut water after it underwent alcoholic fermentation, completion of vinegar-making by starting the process of oxidation of ethanol into acetic acid, and production of an alternative coconut water beverage.

A total of 20 participants attended the activity which is composed of 16 coconut farmers from 10 Coconut Farmers' Organization (CFOs) and 4 coconut processors from the municipalities of Tiwi, Malinao, Bacacay, Sto. Domingo, Malilipot, and Tabaco City. The tapped resource speaker for the activity is Ms. Sibyl Ann Mari N. Eroy, a Science Research Specialist I from the Philippine Coconut Authority - Albay Research Center (PRC-ARC), Banao, Guinobatan, Albay.

DTI Albay in partnership with the Provincial Government of Albay presents SA’ÒD ALBAY TRADE and TRAVEL Fair at Shangri La Plaza, Mandaluyong on November 25-30, 2022!

This 6-day event will showcase Wearables and Homestyle, Processed Food, Ceramics/Pottery and coconut industry products of Albay. The tourism sector represented by selected LGUs of the province will also join by showcasing their respective tourism sites and services.

Experience Albay culture and skills as the event features Albay Artisan Village, a daily demo of basket weaving, pilinut cracking, pottery making (throwing) and coconut products making mounted at the ground floor lobby of the Edsa Shangrila Plaza.

In line with the implementation of projects under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) of DTI Albay Provincial Office, a Marketing Trends and Techniques on Coconut Water Vinegar Processing Training was conducted last October 25, 2022 at Vista Garden, San Juan, Tabaco City. A total of 20 participants, which consisted of 16 coconut farmers from 10 Coconut Farmers' Organization (CFOs) and 4 coconut processors, were capacitated in marketing techniques and improvement of the production of their vinegar products using coconut water. The 20 participants are from the municipalities of Tiwi, Malinao, Bacacay, Sto. Domingo, Malilipot, and Tabaco City. Ms. Sibyl Ann Mari N. Eroy, a Science Research Specialist I from the Philippine Coconut Authority - Albay Research Center (PRC-ARC), was tapped as the resource speaker.
