Due to the very high heat index, we kindly ask everyone to refrain from making small or large bonfires, burning garbage, leaves, wood, or any materials in your backyard or open areas for the meantime.

🚨 PACIFICO IS NOT YOUR DUMPING AREA! 🚨

Caught in the act! This vehicle was seen throwing garbage along the road near the Welcome to Pacifico area.

Our Barangay Tanods and utility workers had just cleaned the area, properly segregated the garbage, and were waiting for the scheduled garbage collection. Then, here comes a vehicle from outside the community, dropping off its garbage in our area.

When confronted, the reason given was that they were traveling from General Luna and were looking for a place to dispose of their garbage.

Sir, excuse us—but Barangay Pacifico is NOT the sanitary landfill of Siargao. 🙅‍♀️

Please respect our community. Our barangay workers spend time, effort, and resources keeping Pacifico clean. It is unfair to our residents and to the people working hard to maintain our surroundings when garbage from outside is simply dumped here.

📍 To everyone passing through Pacifico:
Please bring your garbage to the proper disposal facility in your own area. DO NOT leave it along our roads, vacant spaces, coastal areas, or anywhere within Barangay Pacifico.

🗑️ PACIFICO IS A COMMUNITY, NOT A DUMPING GROUND.

We are appealing to everyone: Please be responsible. Keep your garbage with you until you reach the proper disposal facility.

🚨 BARANGAY PACIFICO PUBLIC ADVISORY 🚨

PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE. ILLEGAL DUMPING IS A VIOLATION OF THE LAW.

Today, garbage was found illegally dumped within Barangay Pacifico. Upon inspection, several pieces of evidence, including a delivery package with identifiable information, were recovered from the trash.

The Barangay Government of Pacifico is now tracing the responsible owner of the illegally disposed garbage. If sufficient evidence is established, the Barangay will take the appropriate legal action.

We remind everyone that illegal dumping of garbage is punishable under Republic Act No. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000), in addition to applicable Barangay Ordinances. Any individual caught disposing of garbage in unauthorized areas within Barangay Pacifico may face legal penalties and the filing of appropriate cases.

⚠️ This is a stern warning to all residents, visitors, business establishments, and tourists:

* Dispose of your garbage only in designated collection areas.
* Never throw waste into vacant lots, roadsides, rivers, canals, or any public or private property.
* Help keep Barangay Pacifico clean, safe, and environmentally friendly.

A clean community is everyone’s responsibility. Let us work together to protect the beauty of Barangay Pacifico by practicing proper waste disposal at all times.
