As part of the continuing implementation of the ๐’๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ (๐Ÿ๐ง๐) ๐‘๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ for 2026, the Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor (OPES) of Surigao del Norte, headed by Provincial Election Supervisor ๐€๐ญ๐ญ๐ฒ. ๐€๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ซ๐š๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐“. ๐‚๐š๐ง๐ญ๐š, together with the COMELEC Surigao del Norte personnel, successfully conducted the disposal of unserviceable properties and semi-expendable items from the different COMELEC Field Offices in the province last August 5-6, 2026. The disposal activity was witnessed by representatives from the ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ง ๐€๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ญ (๐‚๐Ž๐€) ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐—๐ˆ๐ˆ๐ˆ, ensuring that the process was conducted in accordance with existing government rules and regulations and in compliance with established auditing procedures.

The activity served as an opportunity to educate and inform the public on significant election-related activities while encouraging active participation in the upcoming elections.

Among the important topics tackled were the scheduled election activities, operational preparations, and the latest updates on the Filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) to ensure the proper implementation of election laws, rules, and procedures.

As the election period draws near, COMELEC Surigao del Norte continues to strengthen coordination, promote readiness, and uphold its commitment to delivering a peaceful, orderly, honest, and credible electoral process for every Surigaonon.
