DEPARTMENT GOAL

Increased awareness and capacities of individuals and institutions to cope threats and impacts of disasters. OBJECTIVES:
1.

To identify, assess hazard vulnerabilities and risk and disseminate information to raise public awareness on their impacts, early warning signs and counter-measures.

2. To organize and develop skills of response groups and volunteers for the protection and preservation of lives and properties during disasters.

3. To sustainably maintain, provide or arrange the availability of trained personnel

and equipped disaster operation center for effective disaster risk reduction and management.

4. Develop, strengthen and operationalize mechanisms and partnership or networking with institutions, privates sector, CSOs and volunteer groups as well as risk transfer measures.
