๐๐๐๐๐'๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: โ๐๐๐ค๐จ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐จ, ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฅ ๐๐จโ is a project of this office in partnership with Surigao City Jail and Farmacia Surigao, a local drug store, in celebration of Womenโs Month. It involves giving basic hygiene products (๐ช.
All fifteen (15) female inmates individually received packs of hygiene products from this office as well as packs of similar items from representatives of Farmacia Surigao, which also provided free snacks and some vitamins for the women inmates. But since there are more packs of hygiene products than there are women inmates, seven (7) senior citizens and nine (9) individuals from the LGBTQ, those who are โwomen at heart,โ also received their share of packed goodies. The rest of the few remaining packs would be distributed by the jail officers to other inmates later in the day.
โ๐๐๐ค๐จ๐ฌ๐โ is a slang Tagalog term that is sometimes used to refer to a fellow inmate or a cellmate. Indeed, many โresidentsโ of Surigao City Jail are the โkakosaโ of our probationers who spent months, if not a year or so, in Surigao City Jail before their release. A handful of our probationers volunteered to go with us at the City Jail had a mini reunion with their โkakosaโ who are still in jail during the activity.
