IED courier ng BIFF, nasawi sa operasyon sa Maguindanao del Sur

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte – Napaslang ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng Army at PNP ang sana’y mapayapang pagsisilbi ng warrant of arrest sa suspek na myembro ng BIFF nitong tanghali ng Huwebes (Abril 27, 2023) sa Barangay Madia, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur.

Ayun kay Lieutenant Colonel Michael Glenn Manansala, Battalion Commander ng 6th Infantry (Redskin) Battalion, ang suspek ay may mga alyas na Malang at Bungo. Isa syang IED courier at kasali sa nangyaring engkwentro laban sa PNP-Special Action Force noong 2015.

“Kailangan din na depensahan ng ating kasundalohan at kapulisan ang kanilang mga sarili dahil may baril din yung suspek. Narekober naman ng pwersa ng gobyerno ang baril nito na isang Cal. 45 pistol”, pahayag ni Lt. Col. Manansala.

Kaagad din namang kinuha ng mga kaanak ng suspek ang bangkay nito para mailibing alinsunod sa paniniwalang Islam.

Pinuri naman ni Brigadier General Oriel Pangcog, 601st Infantry (Unifier) Brigade ang Joint Elements ng 6IB at Maguindanao del Sur PNP dahil sa tagumpay ng operasyon laban sa mga nagkasala sa batas.

“Isa din itong malaking dagok sa teroristang grupo, at tagumpay para sa mga awtoridad sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa lugar. Nakamit din ang hustisya ng mga kaanak ng mga SAF 44 dahil sa pagkakasawi ng isa sa mga suspek”, ayon kay Brig. Gen. Pangcog.

Muli namang ipinaalala ni Major General Alex Rillera, Commander ng 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division at Joint Task Force Central sa mga taong gumagawa ng krimen at karahasan na hindi habambuhay na makakawala sila sa batas dahil magtutulungan ang pulisya, militar at iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan para mahuli ang mga ito.

“Sana ay mapagtanto ninyo na pwede pang magbago. Mapayapa kayong sumuko bago pa dumating ang oras na huli na ang lahat,” dagdag na pahayag ng 6ID at JTFC Commander.

The 6th Infantry “Redskin” Battalion represented by 1LT Panao, Commanding Officer of the Bravo Company together with 1LT Beriña, Battalion CMO Officer and 2LT Andog, Assistant CMO Officer 6IB participated at the Datu Salibo Barangay Assembly Day with the theme: “Sulong Barangay: Nagkakaisa at Nagtutulungang Mamamayan para sa Mapayapa, Ligtas, at Maunlad na Pamayanan” conducted at Ferdausah Royal Convention Hall, Brgy Salbu, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur last May 6, 2023.

The activity was spearheaded by Hon. Solaiman M. Sandigan, Al-Hadj, Datu Salibo Municipal Mayor and was attended by Datu Salibo MPS headed by PMAJ Kuntong- COP, Eshnayra D. Ayob, MLGOO Datu Salibo, all the Brgy Chairmen and their respective Brgy Councilors of Datu Salibo, Maguindanao Del Sur.

1LT Panao gave his message of support regarding peace, order and security for the 17 barangays in the municipality of Datu Salibo, Maguindanao del Sur. “Peace and order is always followed by development, so we humbly asked you Brgy Officials to always have a close and consistent cooperation regarding peace, order and security to attain the development the Municipality of Datu Salibo desired most.”

Mayor Sandigan also delivered his heart felt message for his BLGU officers to be participative and supportive for them to achieve lasting peace and development further in their municipality. “For the upcoming barangay elections, you don’t need to kill or hurt someone for you to win. Just show your kindness and leadership to your barangay so that you will be voted and elected, he added.”

In the afternoon, the barangay chairmen gave their SOBA (State of the Barangay Address) as part of the activity. Each of them presented their previous accomplishments, present and ongoing projects and future plans as way ahead for the year.

Donning of Ranks to the Newly Promoted Enlisted Personnel

1LT JOENEL V PANAO (OS) PA, Acting Commanding Officer of Bravo “Blackhawk” Company, led the Donning of Ranks to the newly promoted Enlisted Personnel of this unit held at Headquarters, Bravo Company, 6th Infantry Battalion, Brgy Dabenayan, Mamasapano, Maguindanao Del Sur on May 05 2023.

A total of 14 Enlisted Personnel were promoted to a higher rank consisting of six (6) Staff Sergeants, four (4) Sergeants, and four (4) Corporals. In his speech, 1LT JOENEL V PANAO congratulated the newly promoted Enlisted Personnel for their well-deserved advancement and reminded them that moving up to a higher rank means that they have the ability to hold higher positions and a greater responsibility awaits them.

The ‘Donning of Ranks’ is one of the important occasions in a soldier’s life. It served as a significant milestone for the Philippine Army, as it recognized the hard work and dedication of its personnel as well as to strengthen their morale and well-being towards being more effective in their duties, tasks, and responsibilities.
