TUPAD VALIDATION CONDUCTED FOR PUSO TI KABABAIHAN BENEFICIARIES

A TUPAD Validation sponsored by the Office of Congresswoman Kristine Singson-Meehan was conducted for the beneficiaries of PUSO TI KABABAIHAN.

The activity aims to validate qualified beneficiaries and facilitate their participation in the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program. Through this initiative, beneficiaries are provided opportunities for temporary employment and support for their livelihood needs.

TOGETHER TOWARDS AN INCLUSIVE SUGPON!

The Local Government Unit of Sugpon, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), successfully celebrated the 48th National Disability Rights Week at the New Plaza, Balbalayang (Poblacion), bringing together Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), their families, and the community in support of inclusion and equal opportunity.

Guided by this year's theme, "Rights First, Legislation Forward: Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development," the municipality reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the welfare, rights, and meaningful participation of Persons with Disabilities.

The celebration featured the following highlights:
Rights Awareness Forum – Educating participants on PWD rights, social welfare benefits, and existing legal protections.

Empowerment and Capacity Building Session – Strengthening participants' skills, confidence, and self-advocacy.

Organization of the PWD Association – Establishing a stronger local organization to advance representation, collaboration, and collective action among PWDs in Sugpon.

By putting rights first and taking meaningful local action, we move closer to a municipality where everyone is valued, empowered, and included.
