Basic Life Support Training
(In Celebration of Womenโs Month)
On March 17, 2026, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training in partnership with SPOSO, headed by Mr. Romeo Hernandez Jr., held at the Subic Sports Complex Function Hall.
we welcomed a total of 245 participants, composed of 4Ps Parent Leaders, PWD Federation Officers, Child Development Workers, BCPC, and VAWC Desk Officers. Their presence reflected a strong sense of unity and dedication in building safer and more prepared communities.
The activity aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving knowledge and skills, while also promoting health awareness, particularly on cervical and breast cancer.
We were honored by the presence of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Jonathan John F. Khonghun, who attended the activity and delivered an inspiring message on preparedness, health awareness, and collective responsibility, and for whose continued support to programs promoting community safety and empowerment we extend our sincere appreciation.
The training proper was conducted by the SPOSO Subic Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Team, namely Jerrel Dale Romero, Cindy Luzon, and Joyce Estanilla, who provided comprehensive discussions and hands-on demonstrations on basic life support.
We also acknowledge the valuable contribution of our Municipal Health Office (MHO) representativesโAlpha Ria Damaso, Elysther Madarang, Irene Joi Posada, Joane Mae Buan, and Angelle Anne Arbolenteโfor sharing important information and raising awareness on rabies, mental health, cervical and breast cancer.
Together, we move forward with strengthened capacity, compassion, and readiness to serveโbecause every life matters.
