Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 133, government offices shall implement appropriate alternative work arrangements, while alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented for classes at all levels in public and private schools on September 01, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat):

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

As of 8:00 AM today, 31 August 2026, Tropical Depression “PILANDOK” (LPA 08j) is being monitored INSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, two Tropical Depressions, TD "SAUDEL" (formerly OBET) and TD (formerly LPA 08l) are being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR.

Additionally, LPA 08m is being monitored OUTSIDE PAR and has a MEDIUM chance of developing into a Tropical Depression (TD) within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

As of 2:00 AM today, 31 August 2026, Tropical Depression “PILANDOK” (LPA 08J) is being monitored INSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, two of the three other low-pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR have developed into tropical depressions. LPA 08l has developed into a Tropical Depression, while LPA 08k, (formerly OBET), has redeveloped into Tropical Depression “SAUDEL”.

The remaining LPA 08m, now has a MEDIUM chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.
