A small spark can cause a devastating fire. Help protect our environment and communities by practicing these simple safety measures:

🚭 Never throw cigarette butts on dry grass or vegetation.
🔥 Avoid burning trash, leaves, and other materials in open areas.
🚗 Keep vehicles and machinery away from dry vegetation that may easily ignite.
🚨 Immediately report any grass or forest fire to the nearest fire station or emergency authorities.

Prevention starts with you. Together, let us protect our forests, wildlife, and communities from fire.

STRENGTHENING SCHOOL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS | DCFD JOINS SIMULATION EXERCISE AT DCNHS

The Davao City Fire District (DCFD), under the leadership of FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO, Regional Director, BFP Region 11, and under the supervision of FSUPT DONALD R CONCEPCION, District Fire Marshal, participated as an evaluator during the Simulation Exercise on Active Shooting and Stabbing Incidents held at Davao City National High School (DCNHS).

The activity was also attended by FSUPT RODOLFO B ALOCELJA, Chief, Operations Division, Regional Headquarters 11, and FSINSP KENNEDY P TALINGTING, Deputy Chief, Davao City Fire District/Station Commander of Bangoy Fire Station, together with the personnel of Bangoy Fire Station.

The simulation focused on the response to active shooting and stabbing incidents, including the evacuation of students and school personnel, assistance to injured individuals, and coordination with responding agencies.

As evaluators, DCFD personnel observed the exercise and assessed the response, evacuation, casualty assistance, and coordination during the simulated incidents.

The activity provided an opportunity to identify areas for improvement in responding to active shooting and stabbing incidents, particularly in the safe evacuation of students and immediate assistance to injured individuals.

PARTNERSHIP FOR SAFER WATERS | DCFD-SRF RECEIVES WATER RESCUE EQUIPMENT

Under the leadership of FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO, Regional Director, BFP Region 11, and under the supervision of FSUPT DONALD R CONCEPCION, District Fire Marshal, the Davao City Fire District, continues to strengthen its emergency preparedness and rescue capabilities through partnerships with the community and private stakeholders.

The Davao City Fire District – Special Rescue Force led by FSINSP REOMAR C BUCAO, Chief, SRF, received brand-new water rescue equipment donated by Mr. Philip Marco Dizon, Chief Executive Officer of Davao Crocodile Park & Zoo, during the Turn-Over Ceremony of Water Rescue Equipment held on September 2, 2026, at Davao Crocodile Park & Zoo, Ma-a, Davao City.

The donated equipment will help improve the SRF’s readiness and capability to respond to water-related emergencies and rescue operations.

The Davao City Fire District sincerely appreciates the Davao Crocodile Park & Zoo and Mr. Philip Marco Dizon for their generous support and commitment to public safety and saving lives. This generous contribution strengthens the DCFD’s rescue capabilities and helps ensure a safer community.

DCFD SPORTSFEST 2026 | LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

The Davao City Fire District officially opened the SPORTSFEST 2026, led by FSUPT DONALD R CONCEPCION, District Fire Marshal.

The opening ceremony featured the Parade of Teams, Cheers and Yells Competition, and Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2026, showcasing the personnel's talent, energy, and team spirit.

The symbolic Lighting of the Torch also took place, symbolizing unity, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among the DCFD family.

The SPORTSFEST 2026 celebrates friendship, teamwork, and the strong bond among personnel. While competing on the field, everyone remains one team in the line of duty, united in serving and protecting the community.
