A new chapter in learning, literacy, and community development begins today as 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐢 officially opens its doors to the public.

Established through the initiative of the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝐍𝐁𝐃𝐁) and made possible through the support of the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐢 under the leadership of 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚, this learning hub aims to foster a culture of reading and lifelong learning among the people of South Upi.

More than a reading space, the Book Nook serves as a welcoming environment where children can discover the joy of books, students can enrich their learning, and community members can explore new ideas and opportunities through reading.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Environment Month, patuloy nating pinagtitibay ang ating pangako sa pangangalaga ng kalikasan sa pamamagitan ng isang simpleng hakbang na may pangmatagalang epekto—ang 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐨.

Sa pangunguna ng 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎)na pinangunahan ni 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐄. 𝐆𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚-MENRO Division Chief kasama ang MENRO Staff ng LGU South Upi, nagsimula na ang pamamahagi ng mga 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 ng 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐚𝐧 at 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚 sa mga paaralan sa South Upi. Kabilang sa mga unang nakatanggap ng mga seedlings ang 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 at 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang gawaing ito upang higit pang mapalawak ang pakikiisa ng bawat isa sa pagprotekta sa ating likas na yaman. Sama-sama nating alagaan ang kalikasan, sapagkat ang isang luntiang kapaligiran ay pundasyon ng isang mas ligtas, mas matatag, at mas maunlad na kinabukasan para sa lahat.

🌳 Isang punla ngayon, isang mas luntiang South Upi bukas.

Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagtugon sa mga pangangailangan ng mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng matinding tagtuyot, isinagawa ang pamamahagi ng bigas at meryenda sa mga benepisyaryo sa South Upi.

Ang gawaing ito ay bunga ng sama-samang pagsisikap ng Tanggapan ni Member of Parliament 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒊𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑻. 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒛𝒂 at ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng South Upi sa pangunguna ni 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐-𝑷𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂, na naglalayong makapagbigay ng agarang tulong at kaginhawaan sa mga mamamayang lubos na naapektuhan ng kakulangan sa tubig at kabuhayan dulot ng tagtuyot.

Bukod sa ipinamahaging bigas, naglaan din ng meryenda para sa mga dumalong benepisyaryo bilang bahagi ng malasakit at pagpapahalaga sa kanilang kapakanan habang isinasagawa ang aktibidad.

Ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng South Upi ay taus-pusong nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng katuwang at mga indibidwal na nagbigay ng suporta upang maging matagumpay ang programang ito.

Patuloy ang ating pagkakaisa sa paghahatid ng serbisyong may malasakit at pagtulong sa mga mamamayang higit na nangangailangan.

Muling nagsama-sama ang mga opisyal at kawani ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng South Upi, kasama ang mga kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang partner agencies, para sa isinagawang Regular Flag Ceremony ngayong araw.

Ang gawaing ito ay nagsisilbing pagkakataon upang pagtibayin ang pagkakaisa, disiplina, at dedikasyon ng bawat lingkod-bayan sa patuloy na paghahatid ng mahusay, episyente, at makataong serbisyo publiko sa mamamayan ng South Upi.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐-𝑷𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂, nananatiling nakatuon ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng South Upi sa pagsusulong ng mabuting pamamahala, responsableng paglilingkod, at mga programang naglalayong mapabuti ang kalidad ng buhay ng bawat mamamayan.

Sama-sama tungo sa isang mas maunlad, ligtas, at nagkakaisang South Upi.

The Office of the Mayor reaffirmed the Local Government Unit’s support for initiatives that promote spiritual growth, cultural preservation, and stronger community ties among the people of South Upi.

As the municipality continues its journey toward progress and inclusivity, partnerships with faith-based organizations remain vital in nurturing peace, understanding, and collective development.

The 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐋-𝐒𝐋𝐂(𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 and 𝐀𝐀𝐏 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 of South Upi National High School was successfully conducted as a University of the Philippines System Ugnayan ng Pahinungód-initiated program, implemented with the support and facilitation of trained UP Volunteers.

The program brought together learners, teachers, parents, and school officials in a meaningful culmination that highlights dedication, growth, and academic achievement among the youth of 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐢.

Representing the Office of the Municipal Mayor, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐂. 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐤, Private Secretary of Municipal Mayor 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚 , joined the activity and conveyed the Mayor’s warm congratulations and support to all completers, teachers, and volunteers. The message encouraged the learners to continue pursuing their dreams and to value education as a pathway toward a better future.

Special recognition was also given to 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥-𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐎. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 for his dedication and leadership in supporting programs that promote learning and development among students.

𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐌 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 (𝐁𝐏𝐄) 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐆𝐍 𝐊𝐈𝐂𝐊-𝐎𝐅𝐅

The Municipality of South Upi successfully conducted today the Kick-off Voter’s Education in preparation for the 1𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐌 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 held at the Municipal Gymnasium.
The activity, spearheaded by the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂), was supported by the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 (𝐋𝐆𝐔) 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐢 to ensure the effective dissemination of voter education and the promotion of a peaceful, credible, and informed electoral process.

The activity was graced by Municipal Mayor 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨-𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚 together with 𝐒𝐁 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐔. 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐝,𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐏𝐌𝐑,from 𝐏𝐍𝐏, 𝐉𝐏𝐒𝐓, 𝐀𝐅𝐏, 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 (𝐁𝐋𝐆𝐔𝐬), community leaders, and residents from various barangays of South Upi who gathered in support of an informed and peaceful electoral process.

Also present during the activity was 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐈𝐈 𝐌𝐬. 𝐍𝐨𝐣𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐀. 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧-𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐫 ,𝐉𝐃 who led the discussion and information drive regarding the importance of voter awareness and participation for the upcoming BARMM Parliamentary Elections.She also formally led the adjournment of the activity, expressing her gratitude to everyone who participated and supported the voter’s education campaign.

The Local Government Unit extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participating agencies, barangay officials, community leaders, and residents for their active participation and continued cooperation in promoting credible, orderly, and peaceful elections.

Ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng South Upi, sa pangunguna ni 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐-𝑷𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂, ay taus-pusong nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Eid al-Adha ng ating mga kapatid na Muslim.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang banal na pagdiriwang na ito sa patuloy na pagpapalaganap ng pananampalataya, pagkakaisa, kapayapaan, at malasakit sa kapwa. Dalangin natin ang masagana at mapayapang pamumuhay para sa bawat pamilya at sa buong komunidad ng South Upi.

Sa diwa ng sakripisyo at pananampalataya, patuloy tayong magkaisa tungo sa isang mas maunlad at inklusibong pamayanan.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Information, Education Campaign on Small Arms and Light Weapons Management Program and Gender and Development-Related Activities successfully conducted in the barangays of Pandan, Itaw, Kigan, Pilar, and San Jose, South Upi.

Layunin ng nasabing aktibidad na palawakin ang kamalayan ng mamamayan hinggil sa wastong pamamahala at regulasyon ng maliliit na armas at magaan na sandata, pagbibigay ng psychosocial support, at pagsusulong ng Gender and Development (GAD) para sa kapayapaan, seguridad, at inklusibong pag-unlad ng komunidad.

Nagbigay ng mahahalagang talakayan at impormasyon ang mga kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya at katuwang na institusyon bilang suporta sa pagsusulong ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa komunidad. Nakiisa rin sa programa si Lt. Col. Aeron T. Gumabao, GSC (INF) PA, Battalion Commander ng 57th IB “Masikap” Battalion, bilang pagpapakita ng suporta sa mga programang naglalayong mapanatili ang kapayapaan at seguridad sa bayan.

Dumalo rin sa nasabing aktibidad ang mga kinatawan mula sa Philippine National Police (PNP), JPST, MSSD, at MDRRMO bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pakikipagtulungan ng iba’t ibang ahensya para sa pagsusulong ng kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaligtasan ng mamamayan.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐-𝑷𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂 ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa, kooperasyon, at aktibong pakikilahok ng bawat mamamayan upang mapanatili ang ligtas at mapayapang pamayanan.

Lubos namang nagpapasalamat ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng South Upi sa lahat ng mga katuwang na ahensya, opisyal ng barangay, resource speakers, at mga dumalo sa patuloy na pagsuporta para sa isang mas ligtas, mapayapa, at maunlad na komunidad.
