Matagumpay na naisagawa ang 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 2026 sa Barangay Romongaob, kung saan nagpakita ng aktibong pakikilahok at pagkakaisa ang mga mamamayan.

Sa pangunguna ni 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 -𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐲𝐨𝐧 katuwang ang kanyang mga 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝, naibahagi ang mga ulat tungkol sa mga nagawang programa, kasalukuyang proyekto, at mga susunod na plano ng barangay.

Dumalo sa nasabing Assembly si 𝐇𝐨𝐧.𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚, na nagbigay ng mensahe ng suporta sa mga mamamayan. Nagpasalamat din siya sa lahat ng residente na naglaan ng oras upang dumalo sa first quarter assembly. Ayon sa kanya, mahalaga ang pakikilahok ng bawat isa para sa maayos at tuloy-tuloy na pag-unlad ng barangay.

Ang pagtitipong ito ay nagsilbing pagkakataon para sa mas maayos na ugnayan ng pamahalaan at mamamayan.
Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang maayos at maunlad na Barangay Romongaob.

To all government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), contractors, and stakeholders operating within our jurisdiction, please be advised that, in our ongoing effort to ensure that all development programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) are seamlessly aligned with the community’s welfare and the strategic development goals of our leadership, the Office of the Mayor, led by Hon. Helen Benito-Padua, hereby mandates the formal coordination of all development initiatives.

This policy is established to prevent the duplication of efforts, guarantee the efficient utilization of resources, and ensure that every endeavor strictly complies with local and national regulations. By streamlining our development efforts, we foster a more cohesive and transparent environment that serves the best interests of our constituents.

This directive is anchored in the principles of local autonomy and administrative supervision as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, the Local Government Code of 1991 (Republic Act No. 7160), and the governing mandates provided under the Bangsamoro Local Government Unit Code. The necessity of inter-governmental and cross-sectoral coordination to uphold the rule of law and the integrity of our administrative processes. Adherence to these protocols is not merely an administrative requirement but a legal obligation to ensure that all activities occurring within our territory operate under the established governance structure.

Consequently, all entities public or private are strictly required to coordinate and secure formal clearance from the Office of the Mayor prior to the implementation of any program, project, or activity. To facilitate this process, proponents are requested to submit a formal Letter of Intent or project proposal, including a clear implementation timeline, resource requirements, and, for NGOs and CSOs, proof of legal personality or accreditation.

A night of grace, talent, and empowerment unfolded as the Local Government Unit of South Upi proudly held the Ginang ng South Upi 2026 on March 25, 2026 at the Municipal Gymnasium, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Helen Benito-Padua.

The event gathered empowered women from different barangays who confidently showcased their talents in modeling, singing, and modern dance—highlighting not only their beauty but also their strength, intelligence, and pride as women of South Upi. This meaningful celebration forms part of the observance of National Women’s Month, recognizing the vital role of women in nation-building.

The LGU of South Upi extends its heartfelt appreciation to all candidates, participating barangays, organizers, judges, and supporters who contributed to the success of this remarkable event.

My sincere gratitude goes to all our 𝐁𝐋𝐆𝐔𝐬 for your active participation and unwavering support in making this event a success. To our candidates, you are all winners for courageously representing your communities with confidence, grace, and pride. The Barangay Peace Action Team (BPAT) 5-𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 Training was starts on March 23, 2026, at the South Upi Municipal Police Station, Brgy. Romongaob. The activity was led by Chief of Police 𝐏𝐋𝐓. 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐅.𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞 and attended by Municipal Mayor 𝐇𝐨𝐧.𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐁.𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚, 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐢 𝐌𝐋𝐆𝐎𝐊 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚, JPST Team Leader- 𝐏𝐒𝐒𝐠.𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐜 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚, along with other distinguished guests.

Marking a meaningful milestone in youth : 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰” came to a successful close on March 19, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium of Brgy. Romongaob, South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur.

Spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of South Upi under the leadership of 𝐇𝐨𝐧.𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨-𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚, through the Division of Youth Development headef by the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐈-𝐌𝐒. 𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐘 𝐑. 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐀-𝐎𝐍 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐬. this initiative gathered 150 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐩𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐇𝐒) for a day of impactful learning and dialogue.

The program centered on four timely topics, each explored by distinguished resource speakers:

✅ PAT Alma Babe Claudio Vicente led a session on Trafficking in Persons and RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act)

✅Mrs. Rowena Manindo shared valuable insights on Teenage Pregnancy and Early Marriage

✅Mr. Christopher Ang, RN, delivered an informative talk on HIV/AIDS Awareness
​
✅Mr. Kenneth Insoy, LPT, provided comprehensive Voter’s Education to equip young participants with electoral knowledge

These interactive sessions went beyond sharing information—they empowered the youth with the awareness and confidence to make thoughtful, informed choices that will shape their futures for the better.
