The Municipality of South Upi joins the entire nation in celebrating the 127th Philippine Independence Day through a simple yet meaningful program held this morning at the Municipal Gymnasium. 💐

The short ceremony included a floral offering to honor our national hero, Dr. José Rizal, and to pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of our forefathers who fought for the freedom we enjoy today.

May we continue to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, and democracy in our community as we move forward in building a better South Upi and a stronger nation.

🌟 SUCCESSFUL BLOODLETTING & FREE EYE CHECKUP IN SOUTH UPI! 🩸👁️

Yesterday, the Municipality of South Upi, through the leadership of Hon. Mayor Reynalbert Insular , conducted a Bloodletting Activity and Free Eye Checkup, bringing vital healthcare services to our community!

✅ 110 individuals received free eye checkups
✅ 29 donors generously donated blood
✅ 7 patients are now scheduled for eye operations

This event was made possible through our partnerships with:
🔹 Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) for the bloodletting activity 💉
🔹 Minister Kadil M. Sinolinding, Jr. for the free eye checkup and eye care services 👓

🌸 SOUTH UPI CELEBRATES WOMEN’S MONTH 2025 WITH MEANINGFUL ACTIVITIES 🌸

The Municipality of South Upi successfully celebrated Women’s Month 2025 with a two-day event filled with learning, empowerment, and celebration, highlighting the invaluable role of women in our community.

✨ DAY 1: Engaging Activities & Showcasing Talent
The event kicked off with the arrival of participants, followed by an orientation on Gender and Cultural Sensitivity led by Yakob S. Taib, RSW, SWO II of LGU South Upi. The day was filled with fun and camaraderie as participants enjoyed parlor games before heading into the evening’s main events—the much-awaited Rampa Juana 2025 and Modern Dance Competition.

🟣 Orientation on Women, Peace, and Security by Aileen Kesa Marie Hualde, LPT, Executive Director of Women's Organization of Rajah Mamalu Descendants

The program also featured messages of support from Engr. Tohami Abas, EnP, LLB, MLGOO of South Upi and Hon. Reynalbert Insular, Municipal Mayor, reaffirming the LGU’s commitment to women’s empowerment and gender equality.

🎉 The event concluded with a Raffle Draw and the Booth Display Contest, where Brgy. Looy emerged as the winner!

Unity Walk and Peace Covenant Signing Held in South Upi for 2025 Elections

Yesterday, South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur, witnessed a significant event as local candidates and key stakeholders gathered at the Municipal Gymnasium for the Unity Walk and Peace Covenant Signing in preparation for the May 2025 National and Local Elections and BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

The event was attended by candidates vying for positions in the local government, including Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Municipal Councilor. Also present were heads of various line agencies, such as the 57th Infantry Battalion, 6th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army, South Upi Municipal Police Station, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).

The event emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and cooperation among all sectors to ensure a fair, secure, and peaceful election process. The Peace Covenant Signing marked a collective commitment to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and work together for the betterment of the community.

As we move closer to the 2025 elections, South Upi is committed to maintaining peace and ensuring that the elections are held in a fair and orderly manner. The local government, together with our partners in the military, police, and other agencies, is working tirelessly to foster a safe and secure environment for all residents.

Let us continue to work hand in hand, as one community, in building a peaceful future for South Upi.
