This Women’s Month, we celebrate the inspiring journey of 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗡. 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻, a leader whose dedication and passion continue to motivate others. Despite her demanding responsibilities in managing their business, Ms. Geneston remains committed to her role as Chairperson of the Provincial MSME Development Council. She continues to effectively lead the Council, dedicating her time and effort to support and uplift 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼, 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 (𝗠𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀) across the province of Davao del Sur.

Her leadership is rooted in a genuine desire to help others, especially 𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀, by creating opportunities for growth and long-term sustainability. She proves that even with a busy schedule, a woman driven by purpose can create meaningful impact and inspire others to do the same.

The City Government of Digos City through the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) met with the Department of Energy (DOE) for the effective monitoring of fuel retail establishments in compliance with the DOE’s fuel pricing and loading policies via Zoom meeting earlier today, March 7, 2026.

After which, the Digos City LPCC, together with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Davao del Sur and Philippine National Police (PNP) Digos, conducted a Fuel Price and Inventory Monitoring in various fuel retail establishments to ensure orderly supply and distribution of petroleum products in order to protect consumers from possible hoarding, refusal to sell or profiteering due to the global impact of the recent escalation of the armed conflict in the Middle East.

The monitoring activity was led by Division Chief Sarry Kinoc Jr. of the DTI Davao del Sur Consumer Protection Division, together with City Administrator Rex Cagas and department heads of the city’s frontline offices.

This aims to ensure compliance with prevailing fuel price directives and to monitor the availability of petroleum products in local gasoline stations.

This initiative supports the DOE’s directive for intensified monitoring in coordination with local government units and national government agencies to help safeguard consumers and maintain a stable fuel supply.
