The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), in coordination with DILG Sorsogon, successfully conducted the second batch of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAP) Formulation Workshop on June 2-3, 2026 at the People's Mansion, Sorsogon City.
The activity was participated in by the LGUs of Bulusan, Casiguran, Castilla, and Sorsogon City, with representatives from their respective Local Poverty Reduction Action Committees (LPRACs). The workshop aimed to guide LGUs in the formulation of their LPRAPs through participatory planning processes, ensuring that poverty reduction interventions are responsive to the needs of vulnerable sectors and aligned with local development priorities.
Through the activity, participating LGUs were able to identify priority poverty-related concerns, formulate appropriate strategies and interventions, and strengthen collaboration among local stakeholders toward inclusive and sustainable development.
The remaining LGUs in the province are scheduled to conduct their respective LPRAP Formulation Workshops within June 2026 as part of the continuing effort to institutionalize participatory governance and advance local poverty reduction initiatives.
