KALINISAN UPDATES l DILG SORSOGON PRESENTS THE 3RD QUARTER WEEKLY PROVINCIAL SHOWCASE BARANGAYS FOR KALINISAN PROGRAM

Through empowering local government units and enabling community participation, Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan (KALINISAN) is an overarching mission of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr.’s Administration to maintain and provide a healthy and safe environment for all Filipinos.

The program led by the DILG, encourages barangays to conduct a Weekly Clean-Up Drive to maintain a clean and safe community which is the first step in addressing pollution and climate change.

DILG Sorsogon recognizes the efforts of the Barangays in the Province of Sorsogon towards a safer and healthier community. The following barangays were chosen to be the Weekly Provincial Showcase Barangays for the Kalinisan Program for the 3rd Quarter of 2024 based on their efforts in participating in the said program and by the total number of pax and collected waste per week:

Week 27 - Brgy. Bibincahan, Sorsogon City
Week 28 - Brgy. Bibincahan, Sorsogon City
Week 29 - Brgy. Bibincahan, Sorsogon City

PROMOTING A CLEANER & GREENER FUTURE!

The DILG - Sorsogon Field Officers, in collaboration with local partners (CSOs, PNP, BFP, and LGUs), successfully conducted the Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas Quarterly Assessment for Barangays in the province of Sorsogon from July 1-12, 2024.

The assessment aimed to identify top implementers of the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) - Community Clean-up Drive, Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay, and Barangay Road Clearing Operations (BARCO).

Kudos to the CSOs and community members who actively participated! Your dedication and teamwork pave the way for a cleaner, healthier environment.

Manatiling handa sa banta ng lindol! Makiisa sa Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill sa ika-28 ng Hunyo, alas dos ng hapon. Sabay-sabay tayong mag-duck, cover, and hold dahil !

Katuwang ang iba't ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, patuloy na pinagbubuti ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) ang pagsasagawa ng NSED.

Ngayong Second Quarter NSED nakatakdang dumating sa Metro Manila ang tinatawag na assisting regions upang makilahok sa full scale exercise.

Sila ay ipadadala sa mga itinalagang lokasyon kung saan magtatayo ng alternate emergency operations centers. Nakabase ito sa Harmonized National Contingency Plan for Magnitude 7.2 Earthquake due to West Valley Fault movement na sentro ng NSED.

Ang NSED ay isa lamang sa paghahanda mula sa lindol. Bagaman nakatutulong ito, hindi ito sapat. Marami ang dapat isakatuparan at pagtibayin gaya ng engineering solutions at building code compliance.

Patuloy na makiisa sa mga paghahanda. Mahalaga ang kooperasyon ng iba’t ibang sektor sa mga programa, proyekto, aktibidad at maging sa mga polisiya na may kinalaman sa paghahanda mula sa lindol at iba pang panganib.
